A Challenging Weekend for AJ in Formula Ford
AJ travelled to Collie for the second round of the Formula Ford Championship. Following productive practice sessions on Thursday and Friday to acclimatise to the circuit, the team was prepared for a competitive main event on Sunday.
Unfortunately, the weekend did not proceed as planned. During the qualifying session, it became apparent that the track surface had been heavily contaminated with oil. Despite the track conditions, AJ demonstrated good car control to qualify 4th on the grid.
Unfortunately due to the severity of the oil contamination and the subsequent risk to driver safety, officials made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the event.
While it was a disappointing conclusion to the weekend, AJ showed good pace and adaptability. We look forward to carrying this momentum into the next round.

This weekend, AJ heads to Collie for Round 2 of the Formula Ford Championship. It’s a classic "underdog" scenario that promises plenty of excitement on the asphalt.

AJ faces a massive learning curve as he prepares to tackle the technical twists of the Collie circuit for the very first time in a race car.

Adding to the intensity, AJ missed the official test day earlier this month due to prior commitments. With no pre-season data to lean on, the pressure is on to:

Master the Line: Learn the track’s nuances in record time.

Find the Pace: Close the gap on rivals who have already logged hours on this tarmac.

Execute Under Pressure: Dial in the car’s setup during the limited practice sessions available before Sunday’s main event.

This past weekend marked a massive milestone as AJ made his official debut in the Formula Ford series. Stepping onto the grid for the first time is a daunting task for any driver, but doing it against a field of experienced competitors is a whole different level of pressure.
AJ met the challenge head-on, proving he belongs in the seat. The Goal: Keep it clean, stay composed, and finish strong.
The Result: Mission Accomplished. 🏁
AJ navigated his first-ever race weekend with poise, bringing the car home safely and soaking up vital experience. The first round is in the books, nerves are gone.
