Pink Up Mudgee

Breast Care Nurses are there to provide essential support every step of the way. McGrath Breast Care Nurses offer invaluable physical, psychological, and emotional support to families experiencing breast cancer, from diagnosis through treatment. This support is available free of charge and can be accessed through self-referral. Since mid-2009, the McGrath Breast Care Nurse in Mudgee has provided free support to over 200 families in our area, guiding them through their breast cancer journey. Throughout October, Mudgee will once again turn pink to raise awareness of breast cancer in our community. Mudgee was the first place in Australia to start the Pink Up Your Town initiative. Supported by the Mid-Western Region Council and the McGrath Foundation, our Pink Committee is coordinating this community-wide event. To make a donation online, please visit: pinkupmudgee.com.au

Our goal is to engage the entire community in this month-long spectacle, which we hope will attract national media attention. We aim to turn as many shop fronts pink as possible, light up the main street in pink, and host events like pink races, pink tennis, pink lawn bowls, pink touch football, and pink cricket. In addition to raising awareness, Pink Up Mudgee is committed to raising much-needed funds for the McGrath Foundation, helping to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia.
