Well done to the Mossman/Port Douglas team. They were runners up today to Freshwater Tennis Club in the B grade of the FNQ Tennis League. This team has played very well throughout the season but came up against strong opposition today. Big thanks to Ross Holzman and David Coulthard who also featured in the team this season.

On Friday we had the Tennis Court Project Completion Handover with Randal, our Club and the Project people. Now we are just waiting for our mobile nets to arrive and we are a GOER. Watch this space for our Grand Opening!!!!

Cooktown Tennis Club will be visiting us on Saturday 10 October to play our Cooktown - Mossman Challenge. They are bringing 8 adult players. If you want to come along and be part of our team let us know in the comments.
You must be a club member. The event is free due to a Grant we secured. Play starts at 2 and after play we will be having a BBQ dinner also free. Courts are nearing completion so looking forward to lots of tennis for the rest of the year.

Our renovated courts at Mossman State School are nearing completion. When we reopen our club will have a clubhouse, overhead roof and brand-new courts. Watch this space. Applications for the next round of Play On! Sports Vouchers open on Monday 27 July 2026.

Green Ball Junior Matchplay for Term 1 and 2 concluded yesterday and Flynn took out the Winners Trophy being undefeated throughout the rounds. Xaiden won the Runners Up Trophy which was tightly contested between him and Nate. Big thank you must go to players for your sportsmanship and enthusiasm and parents for doing the drive to Port Douglas Tennis Courts to support the kids. Special thank you to Port Douglas Club and Joan who made the courts available for the players and Kiani from the Port Douglas Club committee who presented the trophies.
