Our driver development programs are an ideal introduction to motorsport for novice competitors, but also allow more experienced drivers to sharpen up their technique. Our driver development days are run by experienced racer Phil Alexander, and include both solo and passenger sessions. Phil can analyse your racing lines and provide you with feedback to improve your performance where it counts – on the clock. We place an emphasis on the individual needs of our customers, and can provide specific advice for competitors in one-make series, endurance races and other specialised forms of circuit racing. CAMS/AASA OBSERVED LICENCE TESTS (OLTs)
Our driver development service also extends to Observed Licence Tests (OLTs) for newcomers to motorsport. We are a certified OLT assessor for both CAMS and AASA, and can guide you through the entire process from your very first track day through to obtaining your licence… and then you can go racing! CORPORATE EVENTS
Our experience in motorsport enables us to create, manage and execute events to suit a variety of clients, not restricted to the automotive industry. Examples of the types of events we can manage include:
• Car dealership drive day, which can be offered as an incentive to potential customers, or a reward for the most valuable salespeople
• New model launch for a car manufacturer
• Team-building exercise for a small business
• On-track logistics or advanced driving for a film shoot

How much time do you get at Challenge Bathurst?

Enough time to get it right 🏁

Some intense work on T1 at Mount Panorama with behind the wheel. Lots of experimenting and plenty of encouragement from coach PA saw her flying through without having to downshift on the straight. Where we want it for that enduro come easter. The thing we love about Eleanor as a driver is her ability to take on board our coaching and implement it. We had an awesome time with her last year on the Mountain ⛰️

The Deputy 4 Hour is now the PWC CHALLENGE — and the format has been amped up to give drivers the best of both worlds 🔥

🏁 Morning — 4 × 20-minute sprints
🏁 Afternoon — 1 × 2-hour enduro, run in 20-minute stints

Instead of one long run, each driver gets a sprint in the morning, then a proper endurance race in the afternoon — pit stops, driver changes, strategy and all.

It's still the most approachable day on our calendar. If you've done track days and wondered what stepping up to racing actually looks like, this is it.

The Cutting is extremely important. Probably more so than any corner at Bathurst — because it dictates your speed over the top of the Mountain.

That's our head coach Phil Alexander on Turn 3 at Mount Panorama.

It's a tricky, relatively slow sequence, and it takes real accuracy to maximise your cornering speed. Here's what he tells our drivers:

🏁 Your line depends on your car. Coming out of Turn 3 in a small car, you don't need the right-hand side of the track — you can stay mid-track. Head to the outside wall of the Cutting before you turn, to maximise the width of the corner. Larger cars need more of the available road, by nature of having more mass.

⚠️ Watch the debris on the outside - ensure your line is accurate

🏁 Sort your braking and gear change sequence early so you can drive through the exit. Most cars are in second.

🏁 About 80 metres past the corner there's a small hump. Most drivers use it as a gear change marker — but keep in mind, it's a short shift corner.

That's one corner. There are 23 of them.

At Challenge Bathurst on 19 & 20 November, you get six 20-minute sessions across two days — and between every one, you debrief with Phil. In-car comms on track, footage and driving line review off it.

We have 2 Arrive 'n' Drive seats left. Fully prepped race car, entries, pit support, transport and admin all handled. You focus on the finish line.

Some races are about the lap times. Some are about the racing.

Last weekend Phil Alexander and John Connolly loaded up the Weekend Australian BMW E30 — a six-cylinder Targa-built car — and pointed it north for the Historic Leyburn Sprints.

Leyburn is a town of about 500 people on the Darling Downs in Queensland. For one weekend a year it becomes something else entirely. This year, its 30th, roughly 19,000 spectators came through and a record 231 competitors put cars on the grid. Marked with hay bales, the sprints themselves run straight through the town where the first Queensland Grand Prix was held.

For the 30th, the organisers brought in serious company: Dick Johnson, Colin Bond, John Bowe and Kevin Bartlett, along with Bruce Allison, Charlie O'Brien, Bap Romano and Steve Masterton. John also got a run in Andrew Miedecke's restored Group A Mercedes-Benz during the parade — the car from Miedecke's Bathurst debut. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday.

We ran into fellow RX8 Cup driver in his RX3 Coupe - good to see a familiar face!
