Good afternoon, everyone.
From this weekend onwards, we will no longer be holding prizes for competitors to collect at a later date.
At our last club event, I estimate that at least half of the prize winners left their prizes behind, expecting to collect them at the following month’s shoot. Unfortunately, this has now become too difficult for the club to manage, so this service will no longer be available.
There is also an important legal reason for this. Our club does not hold a storage licence, so we are not permitted to store shotgun shells on behalf of members.
Therefore, we ask that all prize winners please collect their prizes at presentations before leaving, or make arrangements for someone else to collect them on your behalf.
Ideally, we would love to see you stay for presentations. This gives us the opportunity to congratulate our winners and, importantly, take photographs for the local newspapers and the National magazine.
