Ever notice yourself having a much bigger reaction than the situation seems to call for?
Someone dismisses your advice, and you feel yourself shut down. You wave at someone and they don’t wave back, and somehow you’re still replaying it an hour later, wondering what you did wrong.
And you know it when it’s happening. Some part of you can feel that the reaction is bigger than what’s actually going on in that moment.
That can be a clue that something else is sitting underneath it.
Maybe it’s not really about the wave. Or the advice. Maybe something about that moment has touched a pattern that’s been there much longer.
Where does this show up for you?

1-8 to a completely different season.
The Carlton players didn't suddenly get more talented. But something changed, and a lot of it comes back to one word: belief.
Liam Jones said it about Josh Fraser, as reported by AFL.com.au: "He can see so much positivity in what players can do, as opposed to what they can't."
Sometimes what's holding us back isn't a lack of ability. It's the beliefs we've built around it. What we think we're capable of. The mistakes we're trying not to repeat. The story we've started telling ourselves about who we are.
Good coaching isn't cheerleading. It's helping someone see what's in the way and create space for something different.
The capability might have been there all along.
Swipe 👉 then tell me, where do you notice this in yourself?

You know what you want to do differently. Then the same pattern shows up anyway, before you’ve even had a chance to choose something else.
That’s not a willpower thing. Somewhere along the way that pattern gave you something you needed. Safety. Reassurance. A feeling of being enough. So it stuck around.
You can’t shift what you haven’t understood yet.
Comment ‘pattern’ if you want to start understanding what yours has been giving you.

Some behaviours are built through repetition.
Others can begin with a single experience.
Something happens. We make meaning from it. And we learn how to respond.
Don’t speak up.
Stay in control.
Keep everyone happy.
Don’t ask for help.
Don’t let yourself fail.
At the time, that response may have made complete sense.
But here’s what fascinates me about behavioural change:
If we can learn a response that quickly, why do we assume it has to take years to change it?
I often hear people describe their behaviour as if it’s a permanent part of who they are.
“I’ve always been an overthinker.”
“I’m just a people pleaser.”
“I’ve never been confident.”
“That’s just how I react.”
I don’t hear those statements and think, that’s who you are.
I get curious about what you learned.
When did this response start?
What was happening at the time?
What did it allow you to do, avoid or protect yourself from?
Because trying harder to stop a behaviour doesn’t necessarily change what’s driving it.
That’s where behavioural change work comes in.
Understanding why the response exists, working with what’s underneath it, and creating a different response that works for who you are now.
You learned to respond one way.
You can learn to respond differently.
If there’s a behaviour you know you want to change but haven’t been able to shift on your own, send me a message.
This is the work I do.
Have you ever had a time when life was actually good, but something still didn't feel quite right?
That's what I'm exploring in this video.
Sometimes we spend so much energy trying to get back to a time when we felt happier or more fulfilled that we don't stop to consider whether we've simply outgrown what used to work for us.
And there can be a cost to staying there.
We question ourselves. Overthink. Lose motivation. Become frustrated or reactive. Sometimes we start making ourselves smaller just to keep fitting into a life that no longer feels the same.
**The dip isn't the problem. It's how long we spend there before we recognise what it's asking of us.**
So here's the question I'd love you to sit with:
**What are you ready for more of?**
If you know something needs to shift but you're struggling to work out what that is, send me a message. We can start there.
Still on a high from the past 9 days. ❤️
I’ve spent this time doing the work I ask my clients to be willing to do, looking beneath the surface at the beliefs, fears and influences that have shaped how I think, feel and respond.
I’ve released limiting beliefs, negative influences and phobias, and started peeling away things I’d been carrying that were never really mine.
And underneath all of that, I feel like I’m returning to a version of myself that I’m proud of.
I feel freer. Lighter. And more certain that if I can create this much change in myself, I can do anything.
It’s also reminded me exactly why I love coaching.
So I’m opening up 3 complimentary coaching spots, with 2 sessions for each person.
If there’s something you know you want to change, but you haven’t been able to shift on your own, send me a DM with COACHING and we can have a chat. ❤️

Sometimes we don't notice how much we've taken on because it didn't happen all at once.
It happened gradually.
A new responsibility.
A habit that became automatic.
An expectation you never questioned.
Until carrying it all simply became normal.
When people tell me they feel like they've "lost themselves", I don't usually start by asking who they want to become.
I'm more interested in understanding what they've gradually taken on that no longer serves them.
Because lasting change doesn't always come from adding more.
Sometimes it begins by recognising what you no longer need to carry.
What came to mind when you read that question?
👇 I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Every day I work with people who have spent years putting everyone else first.
Not because they want to.
Because somewhere along the way, it became the way they learnt to respond.
The good news is that what has been learnt can change.
You don't have to keep repeating the same patterns or carrying everything on your own.
If you're ready to create lasting change, I'd love to support you.

You don’t have to answer it today.
Just don’t stop asking it.
Every behaviour has a direction.
We often spend time asking why we behave the way we do.
A question I find just as valuable is:
Where is this behaviour taking me?
Some behaviours move us towards things we want.
Others move us away from things we'd rather not experience.
Neither direction is inherently right or wrong.
Sometimes moving away from something is exactly what we need.
Other times, we become so focused on avoiding discomfort that we slowly move further away from the life we actually want.
The behaviour itself isn't the problem.
The question is whether it's still taking you where you want to go.
Understanding that gives us more choice.
And with more choice comes the opportunity to respond differently.
Sometimes that awareness is enough.
Sometimes it isn't.
Because when a behaviour has been with us for years, it can be difficult to see what's really driving it on our own.
That's where having someone help you explore it from a different perspective can make all the difference.
