Being a bit of a nerd at heart, I always need to know I’m in control
You may be able to relate to this too, being a numbers focused and analytical person, needing to know the exact ‘why’ behind everything we do
Taking ages to make a simple decision because we need to put as much thought into it as possible. And this can often become very draining
Especially when things are constantly changing
So what I’ve found to help, is putting myself in environments where the decision is taken away
Leaning into daily routines, monotony with training, eating similar things each day
And knowing why things are happening, what we can expect when we put in the work
Taking the decision away, but still knowing we are in full control if we do said work
Stressing over all the little things is a difficult trap to fall into. Find your routines, find your people who explain the
‘why’, and place your full trust in both of these things..
Otherwise the stressing will never stop.
