It's so easy to push the share button on a post and spam the internet with your marketing but as you've probably experienced, it rarely generates inquiries, booking or even builds your audience. And there's a reason for that.
Each platform has its own preferences and requirements (algorithm) that it assesses your content against to determine whether and how far to share it. What works on one just won't work on the other. It feels easy to share it because it is and it's quick but what works even better is repurposing it. But, that can take time which is exactly why I've created a tool you can use that does it for you.
You can give it a piece of existing content ie blog / post / email etc and it'll repurpose it in a way that's platform-specific, optimised for SEO (yes, your FB posts are now surfacing in Google searches!) and AI discoverability (so your content can be cited by Gemini in Google, ChatGPT, Bing etc).

Writing Etsy listings is one of those tasks that sounds quick until you are actually doing it. You need a title that leads with the right keywords and still reads like you wrote it and not ChatGPT. You also need a description that opens strong, covers everything a buyer needs to know, and doesn't tip into hype, and 13 tags, each under 20 characters, that reflect how a real buyer actually searches, not how you would describe your own product. And then you need a Facebook post, an email to send to your list, and something to hand a graphic designer or AI image tool for your thumbnails. It's a LOT. For a single product launch that's already a significant chunk of your week. But once you've done most of this, it's generally passive after!
I've been building AI skills for my own business for a while now, and the Etsy listing creator skill I use every time I add a new product to The Happy Practice store is now available as a downloadable .skill file for Claude AI.

An absence of results (like inquiries or bookings) does not equate to an absence of proof that your marketing is working.
Just like we talk about a client's therapy journey, they also go on a journey to find us and work with us, this is the function of marketing.
Awareness
This is about getting seen by people who need your services but don't know about you yet. Typical awareness activities include Psychology Today profile, Google Business profile, social media marketing, and blogging.
Interest
Some of the people that are now aware of you, will be interested in what you offer. The goal here to build connection. We ideally want someone to think, 'Wow, this person understands me'. Typically, this is done with the website - specifically a clear message that let's someone know you really do understand and can help and it's achieved through your copy (which is why we don't use AI to write it!). The About page is also very important at this stage of the journey. Lastly, interest is also built on the website by a offering a free resource that's genuinely useful and following that up with a nurturing series of emails.
Desire
This part of the client's journey is usually where they begin feeling like 'this therapist can help me' and it's all about creating trust for them with your practice. Your Services page on your website does a lot of the heavy lifting here so be sure instead of listing what you offer, to explain why and how it's relevant to your ideal client! Aside from that, you want to be sure to add testimonials and reviews (if / where ethical), trust logos (with permission), and of course, an Inquiry / Discovery call. There should be information about the purpose of the Discovery call, who it's for, what happens on the call, what they'll leave with and whether it's something that's required before new clients book with your practice or if it's optional. Lastly, your FAQs can be really important at this stage of the clients' journey so be sure to ask and answer questions that build confidence for a nervous or hesitant client.
Action
This is the last part of the journey to working with you and because for some people that have made it this far in your funnel / pathway, they'll be wanting to book. This section is about making it very easy for them to do that (contact forms, I'm looking at you!). Here, we want to offer online booking options, your phone number if you're using a work phone, email option etc. And sprinkle lots of call-to-action (CTA) buttons throughout the website. These generally might say, 'schedule your session', 'book now', 'click to inquire', 'download X', 'get started', 'take the quiz' etc.
You're focussing on the last stage
When I start working with therapists on their marketing, it's not uncommon for them to fix the website, PT profile etc and then get frustrated when clients are booking. They believe what they are doing isn't working and wonder if they should 'change the website back to how they had it' and things like that.
But they're missing the rest of the picture. You might not have a client at the Action stage yet, but you have no idea who might be in the Awareness stage now and of those people, who have then moved into the Interest stage and of those, who then moved into the Desire stage and are still there.
And you can see it's a funnel - just some people from each stage move into the following one. And this is why the Awareness stage is so important. You want to get things in front of people - focus on that and the funnel will begin to fill more quickly.
Also, it's worth mentioning that getting the funnel going is what takes the time. Eventually, you'll see a trickle of inquiries - here and there and shortly after, they'll become more consistent.
The reason I'm sharing this with you is because I don't want you to be doing marketing and focussing on just one small part of the journey and doubting yourself. If you've set up and optimised your profiles and website, start focussing on building Awareness that your practice exists with your ideal clients.
