Weight-loss medication can help turn the hunger volume down 🔉 but it can’t do your deadlifts for you 🏋️

When food intake drops, protein, fibre, fluids and training energy can drop too. That’s why the basics still matter:

🥩 Prioritise protein
💪 Keep strength training
🥦 Eat a variety of quality foods
💧 Stay hydrated

The goal isn’t just a lower number on the scales. It’s to lose fat, keep muscle, stay strong and build habits that last.

Medication can support the process. Your training and nutrition help shape the outcome.

A look inside last week’s golf presentation! 🏌️

The session explored the demands of golf, common physical limitations and how strength and conditioning can help golfers move better, build resilience and perform more consistently on the course.

The presentation was delivered by our coaches Stephen and Cedric to an audience of both members and non-members, with David from Melbourne Osteopathy and Sports Injury Clinic also contributing to the session and sharing his expertise.

A great afternoon of learning and actionable take homes for all who attended!

Ski training doesn’t look like what most people think…

You don’t need wobble boards and gimmicks. You need strong legs, single leg stability, and the capacity to absorb force rep after rep - run after run⛷️

These are the movements we actually use to get mid-lifers ready for the slopes. Exercises that transfer directly to how your body moves on the mountain🏔️

Heading to the snow this season? This is where we’d start.

The gym isn’t the goal.

Having the strength and energy to pick up your kids, carry them when they’re tired, and truly join in with life is.

And one day, being able to do the same with your grandkids.

Strength isn’t about the weights you lift.

It’s about the life those weights allow you to live.

So, what is your lack of strength costing you?

Because the moments that matter most don’t happen in the gym.

They’re simply made possible by what you build there.

Strength through a full range is the most underrated mobility tool there is🧘🏽

Loading your joints through their full range of motion does more for how you move than stretching. For mid-lifers, this is one of the most important things to get right.

This audio from Australian Strength Coach Sebastian Oreb is one of the clearest breakdowns of why strength training unlocks mobility in a way stretching never will.

We’ve seen it time and time again.

People don’t need a more complicated program.
They need a plan they can actually stick to.

This member came to us feeling frustrated.

Instead of chasing the latest workout or trying to do everything at once, we focused on the basics.

The outcome?

• 0 -> 11 bodyweight chin-ups
• 40kg -> 75kg bench press
• 45 -> 107.5kg back squat
• 60kg -> 160kg rack pull

But the biggest win wasn’t the numbers.

It was showing up consistently, seeing progress every week, and building confidence that training had become part of everyday life.

If your training feels random, inconsistent, or you’ve been spinning your wheels, maybe you don’t need to work harder—you just need a better plan.
