Entries are open for the 2026 Australian National Championships of vision impaired table tennis, Friday 16 October to Sunday 18 October at Vision Australia in Kooyong, and for the first time you can enter and pay online.
The Nationals run across all three days: Men's Singles, Women's Singles and Doubles. Please note these are the confirmed dates, one week later than first announced.
The entry fee is $120 and includes three club catered meals: Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and Sunday lunch. A support worker, guide or family member can add the same meals for $45 for the weekend, or $15 for a single meal. Anyone who umpires or line judges eats free.
Entries close on Friday 25 September. If you withdraw before entries close, your entry fee is refunded in full. Once the fixture is published, we can no longer refund it.
Entering online takes a few minutes and was built for screen readers: answer every question yourself, hear your whole entry read back before anything is sent, and pay by card on a secure Square page, by bank transfer, or through your club delegate. The form also asks how you would like your fixture on the day, in large print, braille, standard print, electronic, or audio, so nobody stands at a draw they cannot read. If you would rather enter by voice, ring Marco on 0412 128 429.
Interstate players are welcome and enter directly, with no qualifying event. Interstate doubles entrants nominate their own pair.
On the Saturday night we all go out for dinner together at the Elgin Inn in Hawthorn from 6:00 PM, at each person's own cost, with wheelchair accessible seating downstairs. Everybody is welcome, partners and plus-ones included.
Every match needs an umpire and a sighted line judge, and every extra official we find means another player gets to compete. If you can help, or you know somebody who can, we would love to hear from you.
A raffle runs each day of the Nationals, tickets $2 each or three for $5, and prize donations are very welcome.
Everything about the Nationals is available in any accessible format on request.
