In Part four of our Sunflowers to Diesel Fuel series we wash, dry and filter our biodiesel. At this stage it can now be used as is in most mechanically injected Diesel engines or be blended with regular Diesel fuel to become B5, B7 or B20. Stay tuned as we run an engine on this B100 fuel in upcoming videos.

In part 3 of our Sunflowers to Diesel Fuel series we test the quantity of free fatty acids in our freshly pressed oil and perform the chemical reaction to convert our sunflower oil into fatty acid methyl ester - Sunflower F.A.M.E Biodiesel.
In part 2 of our Sunflowers to Diesel Fuel series we filter and prepare our raw sunflower oil ready to be turned into biodiesel (Fatty acid methyl ester - sunflower F.A.M.E) Big thank you to JuSt Gab♡ from Sisters In Bloom Floral Design for the lovely fresh fuel… I mean flowers 😂
Part 1 of our Sunflowers to Diesel fuel series. We aim to show you small scale production from seed to finished sunflower biodiesel fuel. (B100 F.A.M.E) If we are successful we will dyno test an engine running on this fuel as a comparison to regular Diesel. ycles
