Last night Cody Maroske lit up the track at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway’s first practice night in his return to Sprintcar racing.

He recorded a blistering 10.634 second lap, which is just outside Lockie McHugh’s 10.404 lap record set back in September 2020.

In other news, Bruce Marshall set a new AMCA Nationals lap recorded lowering the benchmark time to 14.107 seconds last night.

Practice returns next Saturday 29 August.

The wait is over.

Team Davkat is proud to announce that Cody Maroske will be behind the wheel for the 2026/27 sprintcar season.

Cody brings proven speed, determination, and experience from both Australia and the United States, and we're excited to begin this next chapter together.

We're looking forward to what lies ahead and can't wait to hit the track with our team, partners, and supporters behind us.

Team DavKat would like to thank Kaydon Iverson for driving for the team for the last 3 years, we have had some good results in this time. Currently we are having a break from the sport, once we have our program sorted and we have committed to a new driver we will let everybody know.

First Night at Gladstone for the 2 night show was a great night for Kaydon and the team.

Hot laps we were second fastest overall a tenth behind the current A1.

Qualifying we were 4th fastest overall.

The heats inverted the top 8, this put us out of 7th for our heat race, this is where we finished, no passing with the track the way it was.

Started the feature 6th, knocked the jacobs ladder out half way through the feature to came home 7th.

2nd night tonight, unable to update at the track due to limited or no service.

Unlucky finish to a great night, broke the front pan hard bar early in the feature and it got worse and worse, Kaydon decided to pull in, on further insoe tion in thee pits the car has also broken the steering box.

Great night for Kaydon and the team. couple of firsts for all involved and without their help we wouldn’t be where we are.

It’s greatly appreciated.

Started P8 in the a dash and drove up to 6th, starting 6th in the feature.

No second heat we are starting 8th in the A A Dash, kaydon and the teams first A Dash.
