20 weeks ago, I took a chance on an idea that had been sitting on my heart for a long time, not knowing where it would lead.

We Give A Ruck was created to advocate for girls’ and women’s Rugby Union while celebrating the culture, community and connections that make our game so special.

Because change starts with us.

Because the girls’ and women’s game deserves to be seen.

Because culture and community are at the heart of everything we do.

Because when we support one another, we grow together.

Because the next generation deserves it to be easier.

Because you can’t be what you can’t see.

Today, almost four months in, We Give A Ruck has surpassed 2 million views. But more importantly, it’s become so much more than I ever imagined. Every follow, share, collaboration, conversation and message has shown me that there are so many people who genuinely give a ruck about growing our game.

This is only the beginning.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this vision from day one, and to everyone who’s joined along the way. Together, we’re building something bigger than highlights and scores. We’re creating a space that celebrates the game, the people, the culture and the community that make Rugby Union what it is.

If you love the game too and would like to show your support, please follow the journey, share and repost. Every interaction helps us reach more people, celebrate more stories, inspire the next generation, and continue building a stronger rugby community together. Your support never goes unnoticed.

More than a game 🤝🏾🤎

A huge thank you to all of our incredible vendors, community organisations, local businesses, volunteers and the entire Cougars family who made our first Community Engagement Day such a success.

Your support, time and commitment helped create a welcoming atmosphere that brought our community together and showcased everything that makes our club so special.

We truly appreciate everyone who came along, supported our local businesses and helped strengthen the connections that make our Liverpool community so special.

Thank you for being part of the Cougars family. We couldn’t do it without you! 🐾💙🩵🩷

On behalf of the Cougars family, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Allambie Jets Rugby Club for the incredible hospitality shown to our players, coaches, and families.

A special thank you to Club President Rocky Lokeni, the coaching staff, volunteers, and all the parents who welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. The spirit of rugby was on full display, the values of respect, friendship, and community that make our game so special.

We would also like to give a special mention to Nick, “The Braai King,” whose generosity and legendary BBQ were a highlight of the day. The steaks were absolutely sensational and were enjoyed by everyone fortunate enough to grab one!

Days like these remind us that rugby is more than what happens on the field. It’s about the relationships we build, the memories we create, and the communities that come together through our great game.

Thank you once again to the entire Allambie Jets family. We truly appreciate your generosity and look forward to welcoming you to Cougars territory in the future 💙🩵🩷
