🏁 2025/26 Season Wrap 🏁
This season was about so much more than racing. It was about building something. A team. A family. A community. And looking back, we couldn't be prouder of what MISFIT Racing is becoming.
If there's one thing this season taught us, it's that speedway doesn't always go to plan... and that's all part of the journey.
We've blown gearboxes, snapped throttle cables, shredded tyres, borrowed methanol, spent countless nights in the shed, and watched race meetings disappear under the rain. Some nights tested us more than others, but every challenge made us dig a little deeper.
There were plenty of moments we'll remember for a long time. Watching the little 253 that could punch well above its weight, celebrating that final podium at Grafton, and quietly claiming our unofficial title of Australian 253 #1. But more than that, we'll remember the laughs, the friendships, and the moments that reminded us why we love this sport so much.
But when we look back on this season, it won't just be the racing we'll remember.
We'll remember the people.
The sponsors who took a chance on a small team with big dreams. The competitors who became mates. The volunteers and officials who make race meetings happen. The photographers who captured the moments we'll look back on for years. The supporters who stopped by the trailer for a chat, grabbed a sticker for the kids, sent us a message after a race, or simply cheered us on from the grandstands.
We'll remember watching our Mini MISFIT find her place in the team. She's learnt the tools, helped in the pits, tried every race seat she could fit in, and asked enough questions to keep us on our toes. She still covers her ears when the race car fires up, but she wouldn't want to be anywhere else—and neither would we.
To our sponsors especially—thank you. Every race meeting, every road trip, every late-night repair, every nomination, and every memory happened because you believed in what we're building. We're incredibly proud to represent your businesses, and even prouder to call you part of the MISFIT family.
And to everyone who's followed our journey this season—thank you for welcoming our little family into the speedway community. You've made this first official chapter of MISFIT Racing one we'll never forget.
The chequered flag might have fallen, but the shed certainly isn't going quiet. We've got a big off-season ahead, plenty of ideas, plenty of projects, and we can't wait to bring you all along for the ride.
From our family to yours, thank you 💙
We can't wait to see you at the track soon ❤️

Race Day Recap 🏁
Last night Lukey competed in Grafton Speedway Night of Destruction season finale, and what a bloody good way to wrap up our season.
Heat 1: P9 ➡️ P4 | Best Lap: 17.181
Heat 2: P2 ➡️ P3 | Best Lap: 17.296
Heat 3: P3 ➡️ P3 | Best Lap: N/A
Feature: P2 ➡️ P3 | Best Lap: 17.074
Congratulations to Tony Blanch and Graeme Holland for taking first and second place in the feature 🏆
It was a great night of racing for Lukey. He fought hard to hold his place in the Junkyard Dog. He was consistent. He held his line. He just kept pushing. After a season that threw more than its fair share of challenges at us, finishing it off with 3rd place on the podium felt pretty special. You absolutely deserved this one and we're so bloody proud of you. 🔥
We couldn't do any of this without our crew chief, Bretto. From building cars and solving problems to keeping the whole operation moving forward, he's the backbone of this team. The hours he puts in behind the scenes are impossible to measure, and this season simply wouldn't have happened without him.
And to top it all off, it was pretty special having Luke's mum Penny and step-daughter Claire there to soak it all in. Speedway is always better when it's shared with the people who matter most, and seeing Claire cheering from the sidelines while Penny celebrated alongside us made the night that little bit sweeter.
A special thank you to our sponsors —

Through every rain-out, breakdown, road trip, late-night repair, and race meeting, you've backed us all season long. Your support has helped turn a dream into a reality, and we're proud to carry your names on the car. We're incredibly grateful to have you as part of our MISFIT family.
A massive shout-out to Ray Eggins — one of the genuinely best humans in speedway. The amount of times Ray has stepped up to help us out over the years is impossible to count, and this weekend was no different when he bailed out a classic case of Last-Minute Lukey™ and sorted us out with methanol (he was sure it was looking like another rain-out)😅 Ray's always willing to lend a hand and always making speedway a better place to be. Top bloke
And another massive thank you to Shaq's Speedway Pics for capturing the action all night and all season long. Speedway memories disappear in a blur when you're living them, and we're grateful to have so many moments frozen in time because of your camera work. 📸🏁
And lastly to our speedway family — our friends, fellow competitors, crews, volunteers, officials, and supporters — thank you. Whether it's a helping hand in the pits, a message after a tough night, a cheer from the grandstands, or simply following along from home, you've always rallied behind us. Speedway is more than just racing; it's a community, and we're incredibly grateful to be part of it.
What a way to finish the 2025–26 season 🥳

We're set up, we're ready, and now we're just waiting for the action to start 🔥
Racing kicks off from 3pm, and while the drivers wait, our Mini MISFIT Claire is already hard at work — oiling the car, getting amongst it in the pits, and learning what race day is all about.
It's never too early to learn the ropes 💪🏼
