Hats off to our social team, UNSW Gold, for their fine season. Sadly, they went down in their Grand Final of the SMCA Division 25 winter competition today against strong opposition.

Pro Performance’s excellent school holiday activities are coming. Venues to be confirmed.

The Full fixtures for the 2026/27 NSW Premier Cricket have now been released. UNSW miss out on playing Fairfield, Wests and Parramatta. Season now only a few weeks away. 🐝🐝🐝

UNSW would like to congratulate Geoff Garland, who, amongst many of his recent accolades, was awarded life membership of the Sydney Cricket Association on Monday 10th August. This is another well deserved and significant recognition. We have annotated in the following extract.

“The University of NSW Cricket Club (Club) wholeheartedly endorses the nomination of Geoff Garland for life membership of SCA.

Geoff is somewhat of a father figure at our Club. At our recent commemorative dinner to celebrate the Club’s 75th anniversary, Geoff was invited to talk about the Club’s early history. He engaged us with stories and memories of the Club’s early years in Grade, after a transition from Shires, in the 1970s. He was a leader of the Club at the time, and of course we then went on to reach early success with 1st and 2nd grade premierships and a club championship.

Geoff went on to take 597 wickets for the Club, and to be third on our all time wicket taking list, and was awarded Club life membership. He has continued until this day to be a fantastic Club supporter, always volunteering to help.

He has uniquely seen local cricket for decades through his umpire’s lens, until his very recent retirement. He is a great observer of the game and engages us in our Club alumni chats and gatherings. He has brought so much to our Club, to the Sydney cricket scene and the sport in general. We thank him, and hope that this nomination is enthusiastically supported by all delegates.”

PG’s fixtures have also been released. 6 tough games for our U21 team. Looking forward to the season. 🐝🐝🐝

First Grade T20 Kingsgrove Sports draw is out. 4 games in the first two weekends to kick off the first grade season. We play Hawkesbury, St George, Sydney and Sydney Uni. 🐝🐝🐝

Congratulations to Neel Patel who has been selected to represent Australia U19’s in an upcoming Indian tour. A great reward for hard work. Everyone from the UNSW Bees wishing him luck. 🐝🐝🐝
