The Karratha Kats are pumped to welcome Darcy Smith to the club! 🏏🍺

A quality addition to the squad and, according to reliable sources… Connor’s better brother 🫪

In Darcy’s down time you will catch him at the dog shelter volunteering!

We can’t wait to see Darcy pulling on the Royal blue this season 💪

From all reports he can spin it both ways with the ball and will slot into our top order batting, potentially pushing his brother to the B grade to find some form 💥

We are thrilled to announce Nathan Poole and his family has joined the Kats! 😎

🤑 After lengthy contract negotiations, we have came to a good agreement 🤑

Nath is an all rounder who brings ferocious pace with the ball and is very classy with the bat 🏏

In his last innings he single handedly knocked us out of a semi final so we are absolutely stoked to not have to go through that again! 🐎

After taking out WPCA player of the year he was caught on record saying “Dampier is way too far and my Prado uses up to much fuel driving there 3 times a week” . Pure coincidence we are the closest to his residential address 🔥

🏏 Womens End of Year Wrap up 🏏

It was a changing of the guard this season with Stacey “POON” Harper handing the keys of the captaincy to Jaz Bray. 💪 With this, comes great responsibility, it’s very hard to live up to the ferocious, teeth gritting, pure anger and passion which is entrenched in the P**n name.

The girls numbers were good this season filling a side every week! For the first half of the year we had 3 Dynamic Mother/Daughter duos with Stacey “POON” Harper and Isla “POON” Harper , being accompanied by Candace and Delilah Bristow , Jaz Bray and Mel Bray finish off the trio. Was the first time in Jazs life she could boss her Mum around with no retaliation! 🔥

Delilah and Isla only 11 years old when the season started, holding their own like a true champions, never looking out of place (and being better than most of the women most games! 🤪). Bright futures ahead for these young ladies 🌟

Unfortunately the P**ns left us mid season to pursue greater things!

Kel Walkingshaw and Mel Walkingshaw provided the entertainment this year, hoping the WPCA don’t bring in brethos pre game, as these would effective immediately bring them into retirement 🍺 apparently the rough tally was , games played - 12 , alcoholic beverages consumed- 7342 . Good effort girls! 🍾

Peta Frost was consistent all year being extremely solid with the bat and ball being well accompanied by new recruit Matilda Bennett 🔥

One of the biggest wins this year, much to Kottys disgrace, was the signing of his daughter, Lily Kot, being quoted “I would never be seen dead in a Pegs Creek shirt” , we love this attitude, hope to see more of it next year! 🫡

Kiara Stone and Karen Warren making their Kats debut this season also fitting in nicely, especially with the help of seasoned veteran Shelley Davis, providing elite guidance and wisdom 🦉

The lady’s finished the year with 2 wins, one taken away on a technicality but we are still counting it! 💣 We look forward to improving next year in our ever growing club. 😎

With the cricket season over and the boys and girls not winning anything, the Kats Cricket Committee has taken matters into their own hands. 🙌

🔥 We are extremely Happy to announce David Warner, Mitchell Johnson and Alyssa Healy have signed for the upcoming season 🔥

Warner will play every game that doesn’t Clash with his BBL fixture 🏏 Johnson has committed to every game with Healy doing the same 🐂

Conza Smith and Travis Scroop said they will not give up the new ball so Johnson will most likely bowl first change 💣

Hoping they can adjust quickly to the hard wicket competition as it is not easy to do!
