I'm on day 4 post surgery and doing well. Very thankful that the surgeon was able to do my surgery by keyhole, something we were told originally was unlikely so that's a huge praise point! I was able to come home after just 2 nights in hospital.
Today I'm feeling up to doing some cross stitch while I watch tv. This morning I'm watching The Rumour (I'm a huge fan of Britbox shows)
I am also planning my ladies collection for Summer and have ordered some lovely Christmas prints as well as searching for other prints. If you would like a custom orders made please get in touch!

My sewing space looks very weird without two of my machines!
I have put them in for a service while I am unable to sew for a little while.
In May I had surgery to remove a supposedly benign cyst on my o***y. Turns out it wasn't so benign. Nothing flagged any concerns in all the tests I've had and the surgeon was even surprised because it didn't look nasty.
So it's been a whirlwind two months since we found out and I've had lots of scans and tests.
On Monday I will head to the big smoke (RBWH) for more surgery to remove more in preventative surgery including lymph nodes.
My ovarian cancer was caused by endometriosis that I thought I had but was not officially diagnosed until my surgery in May. I am one of the very small 1.5% who have this turn into cancer.
Ovarian cancer is known as the silent killer because the symptoms mimic things us ladies put up with for years.
I am so glad I had this cyst removed! My theory of 'if in doubt, cut it out' has probably saved my life.
So I will be out of action for a while, this surgery will keep me off work and driving for 4-6 weeks and no lifting for 8-10 weeks.
I have cross stitch to keep my creative side happy as well as saving up some shows to stream.

I found this vibrant print today and thought it would make a beautiful jacket in the style I was wearing in yesterday's post.
If you would love this to be made just for you send me a message! Otherwise I'll make it in a random size for my Etsy store.

I rarely post photos of myself but thought I should share a bit today as I explain a change of direction for my business. I have been seeing more of my own clothes over the last couple of years and have become passionate about beautiful clothes that fit well for our variety of body shapes and sizes.
So...I will still be making dancewear and swimwear and activewear, that's heaps of fun. But I will also be taking custom orders for women's clothing. I have a range (large range 😂) of patterns to choose from. I will make some to have in stock for my Etsy store but mostly want to make things to order to fit.
The jacket I'm wearing in this photo is one of my favourites and great for work or casual and while this print may not still be available, there are many others to choose from.
So if you are interested in a custom made item of clothing please get in touch!

I find it hard to buy straighter style skirts to fit me well and so I often end up with gathered skirt or circle skirts. But this one is ok. This is my tester before I use my nice safe coloured linen. If you are interested in this style skirt let me know and I’d be happy to make you one .

Yesterday I was in spotlight and the have a gorgeous range of soft flannelette in stock. I bought these prints to make my little people some PJs for winter. I just team them with a jumper and put an appliqué on the front of the matching print. I figure buying in February means I should get them made by the time it cools down enough for them 😂

Hello everyone! We have had a busy start to our year in our family with a child having surgery and then family visiting and finally this week Mr 5 started prep!
This year I’m having a bit of a change in direction, I’ll still be making activewear to sell at Phoenix Gymnastics locally.
My dance and swimwear range will mostly be by custom order now (as they mostly are anyway) - I will soon be having a massive sale on my in stock swimwear so stay tuned!
Something I will be adding, is creating beautiful dresses for weddings and events, I love making formal dresses and flower girl and bridesmaids dresses and even a special outfit for an event. I love to make beautiful things that fit well to your body shape, something that is flattering and makes you feel amazing.
I’m so excited to be doing something new this year!
Get in touch if you are interested in special occasion outfits, I’d love to chat with you!
