🏆 Henley High School Open girls Football make history!!!

Congratulations to this amazing group, the first HHS team to win the School Sport SA Open Girls Div 1 Football State Championship in its 24 years history! Also the first public school in 16 years to win the competition.

Coach Sam Venning was proud of the Girls Football Academy group, their commitment and progress throughout the year has been outstanding.

The leadership from the year 12 core group was amazing, the application and skill of the rest of the team was also huge. Well done to all involved, thank you to friends and family for supporting also!

Our Seniors win the statewide grand final for the 11th year in a row. The team has been led exceptionally well by Captains Jack M and Jensen F supported by leadership team Tommy L, Lachie MB and Perry S. Alex T, Jed R and Harvey C had stand out performances in an outstanding team first display.

🏆 Open Boys: Henley def St Peter’s College 3-2 (stopping St Peter’s from winning their 5th state championship in a row)
🏆 Open Girls: Henley def St Peter’s Girls School 11-0 (HHS winning for the first time since 2023).
