This October, Gold Coast Dojo – IKO Branch will celebrate its first anniversary. The club continues to grow strong and will be sending its first two students to the IKO Kyokushin Nationals in Brisbane this Sunday. Good luck to Stephen and Blake, who will be representing Gold Coast Dojo in Kumite. We look forward to the results. Osu!!

I still remember the day I truly discovered Kyokushin Karate. I first joined a local club because it was close to home, but something was missing, I wasn’t getting the guidance I needed. A friend invited me to try his dojo, and that one class changed everything.

The structure, the focus, the way the basics were taught… it just clicked. Walking back to my car afterward, I knew I’d found the place where I belonged. The dojo was far from home, but I didn’t care, I was hooked.

Everyone looks for something different in a sport. But if you enjoy discipline, structure, and pushing yourself, come try a class with us. Worst case, you get a great workout. Best case, you find exactly what you’ve been searching for.
