If you’re looking for someone to team up with, flick us an email with a little bit about yourself, your riding level and what sort of teammate you’re looking for, and we’ll see if we can connect some riders.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – YELLOMUNDEE 180 BBQ

We’re looking for 2 legends to take charge of the BBQ at the Yellomundee 180 next Sunday, 13 September.

We need a couple of volunteers from around 12pm–2pm, or until presentations are finished – whichever comes first.

Everything will be ready and waiting for you:

* BBQ supplied
* Food supplied
* All you need to do is cook, serve and collect the money

It’s a simple way to lend the club a hand while helping us feed a bunch of hungry riders after a big day on the bike!

Situated on the western edge of the Blue Mountains, Lithgow is in for a brand spanking trail network.

While there have been community-built trails in the area for as long as we can remember, a development application that’s taken four years of push (and shove) has just been approved. Now, a 25km mountain bike park is set to be constructed in the State Mine Gully Heritage Park, just three kilometres from the Lithgow train station.

WHAT’S ON AT WSMTB

We’ve got a big few weeks coming up at Yellowmundee!

Saturday 5th September – WSMTB Club Day
Trackwork, junior training, women’s coaching, social riding and a BBQ. Come lend a hand, get some laps in and earn those series points.

Sunday 13th September – Yellowmundee 180
Round 5 of the Central West XC Inter-Club Series. Solo or team up and see how many laps you can knock out. Whether you’re chasing the 180 or just coming for a good day on the bike, this one’s always a cracker.

Sunday 20th September – WSMTB Enduro Round 4
Time to change gears and send it! Another day of Enduro racing on the Yellowmundee trails.

NEW WHEELS FOR WSMTB

We’re pretty excited to introduce the newest addition to WSMTB — our new 16-bike shuttle trailer!

The new trailer opens up even more opportunities for the club to get out and ride together, with shuttle days, social rides and adventures beyond our usual trails now on the horizon.

We’re already working on the 2027 WSMTB calendar, with plans to put the trailer to good use at some fantastic riding locations.

More riding. More places. More opportunities to get out on the bike with your club.

Keep an eye out for the 2027 calendar — we reckon there are going to be some pretty fun days ahead.
