Our Mini Movers might be little, but we’re building BIG confidence.

Every jump, every turn, every time they step into class without Mum or Dad, every time they stand up in front of their friends and have a go they’re learning to be brave, independent and proud of themselves.
Dance at this age is about so much more than steps. It’s about finding their voice, making friends, learning to listen, having fun and building the confidence to walk into the world like a little tiger. 🐯❤️

“WHY DO YOU TAKE LITTLE KIDS TO DANCE COMPS?” ❤️🖤

When someone asks me why I take my kids to dance comps…

THIS. This is why.

And maybe it’s time we changed the narrative around dance competitions for little kids.

The old idea that dance comps are all about pressure, trophies and being the “best” is long gone.

For our littlest dancers, dance comps look a little different…

They’re about being 5 or 6 years old and being brave enough to walk onto a BIG stage.

They’re about holding your friend’s hand backstage because you’re both a little nervous.

They’re about learning to get ready with your team, wait patiently, listen to your teachers and remember where you’re meant to stand.

They’re about putting on that costume and feeling like an absolute superstar. ❤️

They’re about hearing the music start and realising…

“I CAN DO THIS!”

They’re about making friends.

Building confidence.

Learning independence.

Cheering for your teammates.

Watching another team perform and learning to clap and cheer for them too.

They’re about getting excited when your team gets a trophy — but at this age, they’re probably just as excited about the costume, the lights, being with their friends and getting to dance on a big stage. 😂❤️

And then there’s that little face when they walk off stage absolutely BEAMING because…

THEY DID IT.

That’s what dance competitions should be for little kids.

Not perfection.
Not pressure.
Not being better than somebody else.

It’s about experiences.

It’s about teaching little kids to be brave, confident, supportive, resilient and proud of themselves.

And doing it all while having an absolute ball with their friends. ❤️🖤

So why do I take little kids to dance comps?

Because we’re not just teaching them how to dance.

We’re giving them opportunities to discover just how capable they are.

And that’s worth so much more than any trophy. ❤️🖤

We love watching our little dancers grow into confident, happy kids, one class at a time. ❤️

Sometimes people see the trophies, the training hours and the discipline… and forget about the laughter. ❤️

Yes, our Elite Team trains hard.
Yes, we set high standards.
Yes, we expect our dancers to give their best.

But in between all of that are the moments that matter just as much… the inside jokes, the silly games, the friendships, the celebrations, the dancing in the dressing rooms, the giggles during water breaks and the memories they’ll be talking about for years.

Our studio is more than a place to learn dance. It’s a place where lifelong friendships are made, confidence grows, and kids get to be exactly that… kids.

We believe you can work hard and have fun. In fact, we think the best teams do both.

This week marks the start of our cruise rehearsals, and the countdown is officially on! 🚢❤️

In just 9 weeks, we’ll be celebrating 10 incredible years of ROAR Talent aboard the Carnival Splendour. We can’t wait to take our performances to the high seas and make unforgettable memories with our amazing dance family.

A huge thank you to .travel.company for organising everything and making this special celebration possible. Your support and attention to detail have made the planning process so much easier, and we truly appreciate all you’ve done.

Here’s to 10 years of passion, friendships, growth, and memories… and to celebrating the next chapter together! ❤️
