A huge congratulations to Queensland athletes Daniel Cowling and Orielle Michaelis-Thorpe who made the 2026 Australian National Youth Sport Climbing team for Boulder and Lead respectively.

We wish these athletes all the best for the World Youth Championships in Arco, Italy this July. We'll be cheering on from here!

Our first competition of the year, the K2 Base Camp QLD Youth Lead and Speed Titles, is kicking off on 18 July.

At this competition, the Queensland State Champions for all Youth Lead and Speed categories will be decided.

The event also acts a qualifier event for the 2027 Australian Youth Lead Nationals (U15, U17, U19 only).
