Three big away trips as the Seniors take on Glen Eira, Ressies head to Albert Park while the Thirds look to make it back to back wins.

After 4 years at the helm, our President Thomas Burchsmith has announced his intention to step away from the role at the end of the 2026 season.

Since taking over in 2023, Thomas helped guide Swinburne FC to some of its proudest moments: Metro League 4 Premiers and Champions, Metro League 7 Premiers all in his first year, followed by a Metro League 6 Premiership in 2025.

Beyond the silverware, Thomas was instrumental in launching the Legends Cup, now one of the highlights of our club calendar, bringing past players back to the pitch and reconnecting generations of Swinburne FC.

He’s also worked tirelessly behind the scenes to strengthen our relationship with local council and our local MPs, securing the support that keeps this club running for years to come.

And earlier this year, his call to forfeit a match in support of the Socceroos put our little Sunday League club in the national spotlight, landing coverage on ABC Melbourne, 3AW, 6PR and even a live cross on the Today Show.

From all of us, players, committee, and supporters, thank you, Thomas. Your dedication both on and off the pitch has left a lasting mark on this club.

We’ve still got the rest of the 2026 season to enjoy with you at the helm, so let’s make it a memorable send-off!

Yesterday, the Legends downed Swinburne’s current crop for the third year running, winning 1-0 in a tight affair.

What a day for the club once again, and a massive thank you to everyone who came along and was a part of another successful edition of the Legends Cup!
