The 2026 Club Championships concluded on Sunday afternoon with an exciting Mixed Doubles competition, bringing a fantastic weekend of pickleball to a close.

Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic tournament and some great pickleball throughout the weekend.

A big thank you to everyone who competed, volunteered, scored, and supported the championships. The weekend was filled with close matches, great sportsmanship and plenty of fun, making it another successful Club Championships for the Gladstone Tennis & Squash Pickleball community.

Another fantastic Sunday morning of pickleball with our Individual Gender Doubles event yesterday! The round robin format with rotating partners made for some exciting matches, close contests and plenty of great teamwork.

Congratulations to our 2026 Individual Club Champions:

Despite the windy conditions, there were plenty of great rallies, close matches and smiles all around. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout and some outstanding pickleball from everyone on court.

Congratulations again to all of today's competitors, especially our Singles Champions Bruce Ferguson and Krystle Bower! 🏆

What a fantastic morning of singles competition, with challenging windy conditions making every point count!

Congratulations to our 2026 Singles Club Champions:

🥇 Men's Singles Champion: Bruce Ferguson
🥈 Runner-up: Ian Bates

The men's final went the distance in a thrilling three-set battle:
11–9, 7–11, 11–8

🥇 Women's Singles Champion: Krystle Bower
🥈 Runner-up: Tash

Krystle claimed the title in straight sets:
11–4, 11–4

The competition was incredibly close all morning. Bruce M narrowly missed a place in the men's final by just one point, and Debbie was equally unlucky in the women's event, missing out on the final by the smallest of margins.
