⭐️150 Games – Laura Gdak⭐️

This weekend against St Joseph’s, Bell Park Netball Club proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone as Laura Gdak takes the court for her 150th game.

Laura has been a true one-club player, pulling on the green and white since 2010. Across sixteen seasons she has represented Bell Park through the ranks of Under 11s, 13s, 15s, 17s, 19s, C Grade and D Grade, even doubling up in both Under 19s and D Grade during 2018. Her longevity and commitment to the club are a testament to her love of the game and the Bell Park community.

While Laura is often one of the quieter members of the side, those who have shared the court with her know just how fiercely competitive she is. She is a mature, dependable and stable presence whose contributions can sometimes fly under the radar, but whose teammates and coaches deeply value her consistency, work ethic and team-first attitude. Laura is the definition of a quiet achiever, letting her netball do the talking week after week.

Her achievements across her playing career speak volumes. Laura has collected numerous individual honours including Under 11 Division 1 Best & Fairest, Under 13 Division 1 Runner-Up Best & Fairest, Under 15 Division 1 Coaches Award, Under 17 Division 1 Runner-Up Best & Fairest, Under 19 Players’ Player, Under 19 Best & Fairest, D Grade Best & Fairest, D Grade Players’ Player, D Grade Runner-Up Best & Fairest, and C Grade Runner-Up Best & Fairest. Beyond Bell Park, Laura also represented the GCNA Sunshiners in 2016, where she was recognised as the team’s Best & Fairest.

Behind every dedicated club player is a wonderful support network, and Laura has been fortunate to have hers. Her parents, Michael and Yvonne, are constants on the sidelines each week, while sister Katie is also a familiar face supporting her whenever she can.

Away from the netball court, Laura continues to make an impact in the community as a Registered Nurse at Barwon Health, caring for patients on one of Geelong’s surgical wards. The same calm, caring and dependable qualities she displays in her professional life are evident in the way she approaches her netball.

Laura, congratulations on reaching 150 games for Bell Park. Thank you for your loyalty, commitment and contribution to the club over so many years. We look forward to celebrating this fantastic milestone with you and wish you all the best for game number 150. 🏐💚
