Frankston Running Club

The road to the Melbourne Marathon officially began for many of the FRC crew this morning! 🏃🩷💙

We kicked things off from Patterson River, with our 6am starters banking some extra kilometres before meeting the rest of the crew at 7am to head along the Dandenong Creek Trail.

We were rewarded with some absolutely stunning skies, great company, plenty of kilometres, and lots of laughs along the way. There’s no better way to start a marathon block than with an awesome crew by your side.

And, of course, no Sunday long run is complete without coffee to finish it all off! ☕️

Here’s to many more long runs, sunrise starts, and marathon memories over the coming weeks. 💪

A stunning winter’s morning greeted us at Belvedere parkrun, with sunshine, crisp air and plenty of smiling faces out on the course. ❄️☀️🏃

A big crew turned out for our Sunday long run around the Seaford Wetlands, and we couldn’t have asked for better running conditions. 🌿🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The temperature was perfect, the conversations made the kilometres fly by, and the wetlands delivered another beautiful morning for our weekly long run.

The only way to finish? Coffee, plenty of laughs, and planning next week’s adventure. ☕💙🩷

❄️ Frosty mornings, fast feet . 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our Sunday long run kicked off with a crisp, frosty start as we headed from One Pear Tree to Half Moon Bay. The hills soon had everyone warmed up, with a nice bit of elevation to wake up the legs!

Great company, beautiful views, plenty of kilometres, and of course, the morning wrapped up with well-earned coffee and chats. ☕️

Yesterday we celebrated Belvedere parkrun’s 1st birthday in true FRC style! 🎉💙

The brief was simple… come dressed as something beginning with B… and you all delivered! 🍌🦇🦋👰📱

We had bananas, Batmans, barcodes, brides, butterflies and plenty more creative costumes, making for a morning full of laughs, birthday cake and, of course, some happy kilometres.

What a weekend of running! 👟❄️

Saturday kicked off at Belvedere parkrun, while Katie took FRC international with a parkrun overseas as part of her final preparations for HYROX. 💪🌏

Sunday’s long run started from Billy’s Café, taking on the Penlink and Baxter Trail. The crisp, frosty morning made for some stunning running conditions, followed by the all-important coffee and chats. ☕️

A huge congratulations to Adam for taking on the Barwon Heads Half Marathon, and to Ben and Jayde, who swapped local trails for an unforgettable 10km run through the rice fields of Ubud, Bali. 🇦🇺🏃‍♂️🇮🇩

Wherever you ran this weekend, well done on getting the kilometres done. See you all next weekend! 🩷💙

What a fantastic weekend of running with the FRC crew! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The weekend kicked off at Belvedere parkrun with plenty of big smiles, great company and happy kilometres all around.

On Sunday, we headed out from Carrum to Mordialloc for our long run, enjoying perfect conditions and even better company along the way.

A huge congratulations to Cindy and Debbie who took on the Traralgon Marathon! Both ladies have put together an incredibly consistent year of training and running, and it was great to see all that hard work pay off. Special mention to Cindy, who came away with a massive PB! 🎉👏

Another great weekend doing what we love most – running, supporting each other and finishing with plenty of chats and laughs. 🩷💙

There were some awesome PBs earned at Run the Pen, Rosebud Running Festival, and a huge congratulations to Steph on completing her first half marathon! 🎉💪

For the third year in a row, Frankston Running Club teamed up with the Pakenham Road Runners to facilitate the Longest Run for the South East, where seven parkruns are completed throughout the day. An incredible 21 superstars took on all seven events, while many others joined in for one or more runs along the way.

The vibe was amazing, the support was outstanding, and it was a fantastic day all round. A big thank you to Mark and Anthony for taking the lead in representing the club, and to our mates at Pakey for the group photos, support, and helping make the day such a success.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🩷💙
