What a fantastic day at Merrigum Golf Club for the second event of the Ben Patten Golf Junior Golf Series!

It was terrific to see 42 juniors back on the course, with plenty of new faces joining the series. The standard of golf continues to improve each event, and it's been fantastic watching players build confidence, develop their skills and enjoy friendly competition.

🏌️⛳ The Ben Patten Junior Golf Series is officially underway!

Our first event was held today at Numurkah Golf Club, and while it was a foggy start to the morning, it certainly didn't stop our young golfers! 🌫️

A fantastic 43 junior golfers took to the course, competing across our 6-hole and 9-hole divisions. It was great to see so many kids enjoying their golf, challenging themselves and having fun.

We’ve had a couple of great questions about the Ben Patten Golf Junior Golf Series, so here are the answers!

🏌️ My child has a GA Handicap. Is this series open to them?
Absolutely! In fact, it's a fantastic opportunity for junior golfers with a handicap to gain valuable competition experience. The series allows them to compete and test their skills against other juniors with handicaps.

🏆 Does my child need to commit to all the events?
No. Juniors can play in as many or as few events as they like. Whether your child wants to experience just one event or compete throughout the entire series, they're welcome to join in.
There is an overall Junior Golf Series Champion awarded at the end of the season to the player who accumulates the most points across the series. The more times you play, the more points you can accumulate. There are prizes for each individual event.
