Heartbreakingly, our 2026 season came to an end on Sunday.
Our Juniors went down by just 2 points on the full-time siren, before our First Grade side suffered the same fate, going down by 2 points in extra time.
Two games. Two points. Two incredibly tough losses.
Football is an unpredictable game. Sometimes a single moment can change everything. But for us, football has always been about so much more than what happens between the white lines.
And when we look back on 2026, there is so much to be proud of.
We are incredibly proud of the way all our teams have carried themselves throughout the season. You represented CYMS with pride, resilience and respect, and most importantly, you are GOOD PEOPLE.
This year, our CYMS family:
-Raised $10,000 for The Mark Hughes Foundation
-Volunteered our time at Macquarie Homestay
-Had countless players and club staff volunteer their time coaching and assisting our St John's Junior Club
-Continued to represent our club and our community with pride, both on and off the field.
For the first time since 2005, CYMS won’t have a team competing in a Grand Final. That statistic alone says so much about the standards, culture and success this club has built over the past two decades.
We may not be playing next weekend, but the CYMS journey doesn’t stop here. This is the success we are built on, and will continue to build.
2027 sees our '80 years of Dubbo CYMS'. It's going to be a good one.
To our players, coaches, trainers, volunteers, members, families and supporters, we are truly so thankful.
We have so many Sponsors to thank in the coming weeks. Without them we would not have the success we do year in and out. We hope you back them like they back us.
CYMS 🫶 Together. Always.
