University Rangers (1999-2009)
The University Rangers Football Club was formed in 1999 as an associated sporting club of the Northern Territory University Sports Association (now Charles Darwin University Sports Association). Foundation member of the NT Amateur Soccer League. Nakara Soccer Club (2000 - 2005)
Originally a member of the NT Amateur Soccer League, the club consisted of a single men’s team and has since provided the foundation for the club, after merges, first with Darwin Azzurri in 2006 and then with Uni Rangers in 2009, culminated in University Azzurri Football Club. Darwin Azzurri Soccer Club (1999 - 2005), was instrumental in establishing the NT Amateur Soccer Club in 1999, hosting the competition at their home ground at The Italian Club, in Marrara. Nakara Azzurri Football Club (2006 -2009)
Nakara Azzurri Football Club was founded in 2006 after the merger of Nakara Soccer Club and Darwin Azzurri Soccer Club. Both clubs had previously established themselves as pillars of the Darwin Soccer community, and have since continued to pride themselves in youth development. The club is still striving to win its first premiership in the Norzone Men’s Premier League, but has consistently provided one of the best youth development programs, demonstrated by its consistent successes at youth level.
