As Darwin Festival heads into its FINAL WEEKEND, we're looking back at one of our favourite events 🐻

50 of our mini ballerinas had the absolute BEST time performing at the City of Darwin Teddy Bears Picnic - bear ears, tails, picnic baskets, cuddly teddies and plenty of dancing included!✨

A huge THANK YOU to the wonderful D-Fest team for providing our young dancers with the opportunity to give a special performance for the local community 🧸

There is one final festival weekend to enjoy, so now's your chance to catch some incredible music, theatre, comedy, circus and of course delicious food & cool vibes down at Festival Park...

🩰✨ WOW… What a weekend for our ballet community here in the NT! ✨🩰

Did you catch the incredible Australian Ballet? How lucky are we to have artists of this calibre performing as part of the Darwin Festival 💕

We’re feeling even more grateful that amongst their incredibly busy Darwin schedule, The Australian Ballet Education & Outreach team found time to take over our Territory Ballet Stars classes!

Our students were completely captivated by two wonderful educators alongside two talented company dancers. They watched in awe, listened to every word and threw themselves wholeheartedly into the creative sessions 👏

The dance studio was absolutely buzzing! 🤩

🧡 For young dancers growing up in remote Darwin, opportunities like this are incredibly special and something we never take for granted.

A HUGE thank you to The Australian Ballet for fitting us into your NT visit and so generously sharing your time - facilitating 3 sessions for over 50 of our young ballerinas!

We will cherish your expertise and love of dance. Your workshops embodied everything we believe dance should be - imaginative, inclusive, inspiring and full of joy 🙏

On Sunday so many of our families enjoyed Emma Memma’s Jungle Picnic Tour and what a truly incredible show it was! 🌿🦁

Seeing our ballerinas singing & dancing completely captivated by the performance was so special 🩰

😆 The huge grins said it all, especially during the unforgettable Dad Dance Off!

Miss Beth may have been just as starstruck as the children when Emma roamed through the audience and said “I love YOUR dancing by the way!” ✨

A huge thank you to Emma Watkins & team for inspiring the next generation of young dancers through such a fun, inclusive and action-packed performance…

You created beautiful memories that our dance families will treasure forever 🌈

🦁🦜🧜‍♀️ Jungle animals, tropical birds & mermaids - oh my!

Inspired by some of our dancers' current favourite movies (Zootopia 2, Migration and The Little Mermaid) these recent performances were full of creativity, adventure and fun.

At Baby Ballet Darwin, we love turning a child's interests into dance. Whether they're dreaming of exploring the jungle, soaring through the skies or swimming under the sea, we choreograph dances around any theme that captures their imagination.

After all... life is too short to always be a fairy! ✨

💥 It's Territory Day and we are pumped because 1st July also means that Semester 2 NT Sports Vouchers are now available!

🪄 Oh the magic of backstage... where excitement builds, adrenaline starts pumping and the countdown begins!

Our *Territory Ballet Stars* program is not just about learning ballet technique - it's about the high fives, encouraging hugs and the "We've got this!" attitude before every performance.

👯‍♀️ It's walking side by side towards the wings. Watching in awe as hundreds of audience members gather. Taking one last deep breath before the music starts.

And then there's the laughter - the kind that is completely contagious. The huge smiles, the shared excitement and core memories being made without anyone even realising🤩

Friends adding a little extra glitter, fixing ballet slippers, sharing hairspray and making sure everyone is ready to shine!

Because long after the costumes are packed away and the music fades, these moments will stay with us forever💕🩰
