From Nurse to Personal Trainer: A Journey of Understanding
I didn’t set out to change careers — I set out to find someone who understood me. After having my baby, I was navigating a body that felt foreign. I was carrying extra weight, feeling exhausted, and trying to rebuild my strength while juggling the demands of motherhood. I searched for a personal trainer who could guide me — someone who knew what it was like to be both obese and postpartum.
I couldn’t find her.
So, I became her.
With years of nursing experience, I understood the science of recovery, safe movement, and the emotional toll of physical change. But it was my own lived experience that gave me the empathy and insight I couldn’t find in the industry. I retrained as a personal trainer, determined to create a space where women feel seen, heard, and supported — without judgment.
Now, I help women rebuild their strength, confidence, and self-belief from the inside out. This isn’t about “bouncing back.” It’s about moving forward — with compassion, patience, and pride in every step of the journey. Because I know what it’s like to stand where you are. And I know how powerful it feels to take that first step toward yourself again.
Skills and Experience That Set Me Apart
Healthcare background: My former nursing experience gives me a deep understanding of anatomy, recovery, and safe progression — especially for postpartum bodies.
Lived experience: I am walking the path my clients are on, so I can offer empathy, encouragement, and realistic strategies that go beyond textbook advice.
Holistic approach: I combine medical knowledge, fitness expertise, and emotional support to help clients feel strong, confident, and capable.

Sip steadily - drinking small amounts consistently rather than a large amount or gulping all at once
Choose the right fluids - although water is generally best electrolyte enhanced drinks do help if you have significant sweat or fluid loss
Absorption rate in stomach is generally 15-45 minutes however slows significantly if you are severely dehydrated.
* If you are dizzy, tired, confused, cant keep fluids down please see a doctor.
* If you have mild dehydration, just drink water. A General recommendation is 2 - 3 litres daily (more if exercising / in hot temperatures)
