🖤 Vale Chris Gash 🖤

The Cobram Junior Soccer Association is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Chris Gash, President of the Cobram Roar Soccer Club.

Chris was a much-loved and valued member of our local soccer community and someone who gave so much of his time and energy to soccer in Cobram.

Chris was also a wonderful supporter of our junior club, coaching, helping out and always being willing to lend a hand wherever he could. His involvement with our players and families made a real difference, and his passion for helping grow and support junior soccer will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with Chris’s family, friends, the Cobram Roar committee, players and the wider Roar community during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you, Chris, for everything you gave to our local soccer community and to our junior players. Your contribution and kindness will not be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Chris. 🖤⚽️

The canteen is fully stocked with all the food, snacks and drinks you’ll need to keep everyone fuelled throughout the day. 🍔🌭🥤🍦

We’re excited to be heading to Cobram Junior Soccer Association’s Gala Day tomorrow, where the Cobram Roar team will be serving up all the good stuff from the canteen! 🍟🌭🔥

Starting from 8:00am, we’ll have you covered with:

🌭 Hot Dogs
🔥 BBQ Favourites
🥤 Cold Drinks

And of course… ☕ Odesi will be firing up the coffee machine and keeping everyone powered up with barista-made coffees throughout the day!

🌟 CJSA GALA DAY — FIXTURES ARE HERE! ⚽️

The fixtures are here, and we are SO excited for a huge day of football, fun and celebrating our CJSA kids! ❤️💙

A few important reminders before we kick off:

⏰ PLEASE BE ON TIME!
With lots of games and a quick turnaround between matches, it’s really important that teams are ready to go when their game is scheduled.

🎉 This day is all about the kids!
It’s a celebration of football, development, friendships and everything our players have achieved this season. Enjoy the day, watch some other games, cheer on the other age groups and soak up the atmosphere!

We have LOTS planned, including:
🏰 Jumping castle
🎨 Face painting
🍦 Ice cream truck
🏅 Medals for every child at presentations
🤝 Special guests and sponsors joining us for presentations
⚽ Plenty of great football!

📣 Support all players, respect our referees and coaches, and be the example we want our kids to see. Let’s make it a fantastic day for everyone.

🌭 FOOD & COFFEE
Cobram Roar will be running the canteen with their famous hot chips, BBQ firing up, bacon & egg rolls and all the good stuff!
☕️ Odesi Coffee will also be onsite.

A massive THANK YOU to Cobram Roar FC for all their help this week getting the fields ready after all the rain. We really appreciate it! 👏

👕 TEAM SHIRTS
All shirts must be returned to team managers at the end of presentations. Please remember to bring something to change into after your game. Parents will be invoiced $45 for any shirts that are not returned.

📋 TEAM MANAGERS
Please collect your scoresheets from the scoring table/area near the canteen and return each scoresheet promptly at the end of every game.

🚧 PITCH ACCESS
Due to the quick turnaround between games and to allow coaches to prepare their teams, only players, coaches and team managers will be permitted between the pitches. There are plenty of great viewing areas for spectators, so please follow the signage.

🚗 PARKING & TOILETS
Please be mindful of where you park and keep access areas clear. Toilets will be available at the Junior Club Rooms, and Cobram Roar will also have their toilets open.

🧤 LOST PROPERTY
We have A LOT of lost property! 😳 Please have a look through it and check whether anything belongs to your family. Anything left after Gala Day will be disposed of.

And finally… 🌤️ the weather is looking perfect on Saturday!
So come along, enjoy the football, grab some food, cheer loudly, have some fun and help us finish the season on a high!

⚽️❤️💙 GRIFFITH CUP 2026 💙❤️⚽️

What a weekend for our CJSA Rep Teams, who headed to the Griffith Cup for the very first time! 🏆

Despite the wind, rain and challenging conditions, our teams battled hard, supported each other and gave it their all. More importantly, they showed fantastic sportsmanship, respect and teamwork throughout the day. They represented CJSA with pride and did our club incredibly proud! ❤️💙

There were plenty of smiles, plenty of muddy boots and, most importantly, so many memories made, friendships forged and experiences shared. This is exactly what representative football is all about! 🙌⚽️

⭐️ A special shoutout to our U9 Boys, who made it all the way through to the semi-finals! After a fantastic tournament, they fought hard but unfortunately went down in a penalty shootout. What an achievement! 👏

⭐️ And what can we say about our U8 Boys! 😍
They topped their group, before finding themselves 2–0 down in their semi-final against GV Suns. But these little superstars weren't finished yet! They fought all the way back to make it 2–2 at full time, before keeping their cool and winning the penalty shootout to book their place in the Grand Final! 🏆

In the Grand Final against Wagga, the boys battled through another tight contest, finishing 0–0 at full time and heading into yet another penalty shootout.

They did themselves, their families and CJSA incredibly proud. ❤️💙 While they ultimately came up just short, finishing Runners-Up at Griffith Cup, what an incredible effort from our little superstars! 🌟👏

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing parents and families who travelled, supported the teams and helped make the weekend happen. And of course, a massive thank you to our coaches for giving their time, energy and encouragement to these kids. We couldn't do it without you! 🙏

A special thank you also to Griffith Football Academy for hosting such a fantastic day and giving our players the opportunity to experience a great day of football. We really appreciate all the work that goes into making an event like this happen! 👏⚽️

From the first whistle to the final penalty, it was a day full of football, smiles, teamwork, friendships and memories that these kids will remember for a long time. ❤️⚽️

We couldn't be prouder of every single one of our rep players. They represented CJSA with heart, respect and plenty of determination. 👏

And now… we can't wait to do it all again at Shepparton Cup in October! 🏆⚽️

This Sunday, our rep teams head to Griffith to take part in the Griffith Cup. 🏆

We know they will represent CJSA with pride, show great sportsmanship, support their teammates and give it their all.

A big thank you to all our coaches, parents and volunteers who make these opportunities possible.

We wish them all the very best of luck. Enjoy every minute, make great memories and most of all, have fun!!

❤️💙 RESPECT OUR REFEREES 💙❤️

As we head towards the end of the season and Gala Day, we'd like to remind everyone that Cobram Junior Soccer Association is a junior, community competition. Our focus is on participation, development, learning and enjoying the game.

Our referees, just like our players, are learning too. They are juniors who have stepped up to support our competition, and without them, our children simply wouldn't have a game each Saturday.

Abuse, aggression or disrespect towards referees, players, coaches, volunteers or other spectators will not be tolerated.

Our Parent and Player Code of Conducts remind all parents, players and spectators to:
⚽ Respect officials' decisions.
⚽ Encourage children to play by the rules.
⚽ Support the removal of verbal and physical abuse from sport.
⚽ Remember that children play for their own enjoyment and development.

Any parent, player or spectator who fails to uphold our Code of Conduct may face disciplinary action in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Football Victoria policies. All code of conducts can be found on our website https://cobramjuniorsoccer.com/

Please remember that our players are watching. The example we set from the sidelines teaches them just as much as what happens on the field.
