KYC - Kidz, Youth & Community

Hey all, the KYC and JJIC Op Shop are doing great business for community. Our beautiful volunteer ladies are there from 8.30am to 3pm, Monday to Friday and looking after everyone. We are accepting donations all the time and welcome new volunteers if you have some time. Please remember that all items are very low cost, anyone experiencing difficulty can access all for free. If you don't know where we are come to 6/42 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture. We welcome all.

Hey community, the Census is coming and if you are unsure or want some help filling it in, we have two sessions at KYC and Jabani Jinna. Check the fliers for details and come down.

The census helps to work out what communities need and to help with putting funds into the right places. Have your say and be heard. All welcome.

KYC and JJIC Charity Op Shop has a babies and children's clothing sale on this Friday, 3 July 9am to 3pm. 20 cents per item or 10 items for $1.00.

Well, it has been a day doing what we do for young ones and community and I have just realised that KYC is 20 years old today. What a journey of amazing children, young people and families we have had. What an honour to know you all and have spent so much loved time with you. I can't even begin to thank and say how amazing the KYC staff teams have been across the years and what they have given to young ones and community. I am feeling old now lol but still here and will be here as always. Much respect and love to all of our children, young people and families and thank you for allowing to be part of your journey.

JJIC and KYC are urgently seeking volunteers to assist in our charity op – shop. If you have some time, enjoy working with people and want to give back to the community, we welcome you to come in and have a talk.

All volunteers require a blue card due to the nature of the services provided within the organisations.

Volunteering may assist with meeting mutual obligation Centrelink requirements if suitable.

KYC and JJIC welcome you to come in and browse our Op Shop. We have a large range of items for sale. We are located at 6/42 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture and are open Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 3pm with times expanding in the near future. All monies raised through sales goes back into community. We welcome donations and welcome specific donations that you would like given for free to a cause of your choice. We look forward to seeing you!

Anyone experiencing homelessness, domestic or family violence or simply struggling financially can access items needed for free. EFTPOS is available for purchases.
Are you looking to volunteer some time for community. We welcome volunteers that can donate some time to sort through donations, keep our shop looking great and manage sales. Please call 5212 1019 or call in if you are interested.

We are back and giving so much more. Very cheap items and if you cannot afford them they are yours. We know that life can be hard and in hard times, we are there. If you can afford to buy great, if you cant let us know. All welcome from 9am to 4pm Mondays to Thursdays. Cya there.

Yesterday, 26 May 2024, celebrated KYC's 18th Birthday and what an amazing 18 years it has been. We have had the opportunity to work across so many areas of community and work with amazing children, young people, families and individuals as well as community itself. A huge thank you to all of the KYC family team members over the years who have all contributed to KYC and the communities we serve. Thank you for being part of the journey and to the amazing KYC team of today, thank you for being who you are and sharing your passion, knowledge and skills with us all.

Looking forward to another 18 years and the journey of transition to a new generation of leaders within the KYC family staff team.
