Last weekend we headed to Geraldton for the Triple Crown and WA State Title Shakedown ahead of the State Titles next month looking to gain valuable data and information in preparation.

A bit of luck helped us on Saturday in the KA after some throttle issues in Heat 2, before struggling on Sunday with the kart setup, and unable to fine tune it for the different conditions. In TAG had a decent run with mixed results but managed to bring home a solid result in the end.

Massive thank you to Kip Foster and the KF Race team for all the help and support. A great result to bring home another win and build momentum into the WA State Titles at the end of September.

FORMULA FORD ROUND 4

Second ever Formula Ford weekend, and mixed weather made it a tricky one — wet qualifying, a rain-affected Race 1, then the track dried out for the rest of the day.

Overall: P2 for the meeting

A mistake in qualifying cost me the last two laps of the session, after leading a good chunk of it. Three solid races followed, including a Race 2 win (largely under Safety Car), capping off my first ever Formula Ford podium.

Also stoked to be awarded overall Driver of the Day — out of around 115 competitors across all categories on the day.

FORMULA FORD DEBUT

I made my Formula Ford debut on 28 June at Wanneroo Raceway. After a small amount of testing, I made the leap into my first race weekend, which proved to be a valuable learning experience.

A wet start to the day was a challenge, as I had never driven a race car in the rain before. Adapting to the conditions throughout the day was a big learning curve. Although I wasn't quite on the pace of the leaders, I learnt a lot through some solid battles and gained valuable racecraft experience.

We'll keep learning and pushing to move further up the grid, but overall it was a successful debut weekend.

2026 Carnival of Karts

Wanneroo International Kartway held the Carnival of Karts and we were racing in both TAG 125 Light and KA Senior Championship again. Coming off a strong start to the racing season at the King of the Hill we were looking to build on some solid momentum.

TAG Light

Qualifying: P6

Heat 2: P5 -> P3

Final: P4 -> P3

After a mechanical issue in Heat 3 costing us speed, a great start in the final had us into P3 from lap 1 where we held on to secure our first TAG Light podium at a state series round.

KA Senior Championship

Qualifying: P3
Heat 1: P3 -> P1 (Nosecone Penalty)
Heat 2: P3 -> P1
Heat 3: P2 -> P1
Final: P1 -> P1

A setup mistake cost us the pole in qualifying and from there spent the weekend to try and secure pole for the final. Managed to lead out of turn 1 and bring home the win at the Carnival of Karts.

2026 King of the Hill

After missing the first two rounds of the WA State Series, our first major meeting of the year was at the Hurricane Go Kart Club. Competing in TAG 125 Light with 15 entries and KA Senior Championship with a full capacity field of 32 entries, it was set for a big weekend ahead.

A strong weekend in TAG Light, moving up the field and showing glimpses of good pace.

In KA Senior, we had a great weekend, securing pole and taking three strong heat race wins. A setup error in the final had us off the pace and having to fight for the win but managed to bring it home to claim the King of the Hill for 2026!

2025 WA STATE SERIES ROUND 7 - BUNBURY

The last round of the WA State Series was in Bunbury for the Coastal Classic competing in both TAG Light and KA Senior - with the KA Senior championship on the line.

A weekend of progression in the TAG had us find decent pace and was able to set down some pretty quick lap times, finishing 4th fastest in the final.

In KA we were strong from the very start, showing speed and consistency all weekend. Heat 3 didn't quite go our way off the line, which made the race tougher than expected, but we were still pleased with the pace and performance.

We also managed to win the State Series in KA Senior after 7 long rounds, a result that paid off for all the hard work this season.

2025 WA STATE TITLES

We were in Wundowie for the 2025 WA State Titles racing TAG 125 Light and KA Senior Championship with 21 and 27 entries respectively

A really difficult weekend after a massive roll over in Heat 1 in the KA but we managed to keep it on the road after that and pass a lot of karts. Struggled in the grip with the kart but on Sunday managed to carve my way through to a podium after starting last for Heat 2, something I am extremely proud of.

Massive thank you to Scotty, without you none of this would be possible. Kip for all the help and the mega engine, and the rest of the KF Team for all the support and help after the flip in getting the kart ready for the next race. Massive shout out also to Lochy, well done on your first title buddy, superstar drive.

I am also very grateful to all officials and volunteers who helped me with my crash, and everyone who checked in, made sure I was ok or gave me words of inspiration. The karting community truly is special.

👑2025 KING OF THE HILL 👑

The sixth round of the 2025 WA State Series was in Hurricane Go Kart Club for the King of the Hill. Racing in an over-subscribed KA Senior class with 35 entries and TAG Light with 20 entries, it was a very busy weekend with the weather making things interesting.

Good results in KA to take the pole in the split qualifying format and a podium in the end was a good finish to the weekend.

After an awesome drive through the field in TAG Light to P2 in the prefinal, getting taken out in the final whilst fighting for a podium was a tough pill to swallow, but there were still positives.

Now we enter the final push before the WA State Titles back in Wundowie at the end of September.

We travelled to the Eastern Goldfields Kart Club on the weekend in Kalgoorlie for Round 5 of the WA State Series running both KA Senior and TAG 125 Light hoping to build off the strong round in Esperance.

A tough weekend in both classes was topped off by an amazing final in the KA to win by 0.067 in a really tight finish.

An unfortunate mechanical failure in the TAG pre-final hurt our final starting position but a good drive back to 7th was a positive way to end the weekend.
