Logan Village Crowned Cricket Gold Coast Division 3 Premiers (2025/26) πŸ†

Logan Village have claimed the Cricket Gold Coast Division 3 Premiership after a strong all-round performance in the Grand Final, defeating Runaway Bay by 65 runs.

Batting first, Village posted a competitive 9/187, built around a crucial middle-order effort.
Patrick Hansen led the way with a superb 59 (49 balls), striking 7 fours and 2 sixes to anchor the innings. He was well supported by Trent Spring (43 off 84), who provided stability at the top, and Michael Johnson (27).

Late in the innings, Justin Noonan (18 off 22)* and Michael Baillie (7 off 2)* added valuable runs to push the total towards a match-winning score.
In reply, Runaway Bay were restricted to 122, with Logan Village’s bowlers producing a disciplined and relentless display.

Jackson Larkins was outstanding, taking 2/14 off 6.4 overs at an economy of just 2.10, setting the tone early.

He was well supported by:
Caleb Szegfu – 2/29 (6 overs)
Michael Baillie – 2/6 (3 overs)
Tyce Yaxley – 1/16 (5 overs)
Darren Collis – 1/13 (4 overs)

The bowlers worked in partnerships, consistently applying pressure and never allowing the opposition to build momentum.

It was a complete team performance β€” strong contributions with the bat, disciplined bowling, and sharp fielding β€” highlighting the depth and unity within the side.

A well-earned premiership for Logan Village, and a season that finishes exactly how they would have hoped β€” as champions. πŸ†πŸ’›πŸ’™
