Sensei Alex Plummer is now through to the World Cup Open finals for BOTH kata and kumite!!

Without dropping a flag in the heats, our very own Sensei Alex Plummer has made the finals of World Cup Male Open Kata; which will take place tomorrow!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Queensland Squad members who have taken home medals on Day 1 of the GKR World Cup 2026!

Hi Team, I’m sure by now you have heard that Region 29 will officially open its 3rd Full time Dojo in Mansfield. Due to this we have a change of venue for the tournament skills class starting Sunday 19th July, the new venue will be 2/4 Dividend Street, Mansfield. If you head past Mansfield primary school towards Wecker Road turn left and then your 1st left you will be on Dividend Street. This will be the permanent venue for the tournament skills class. The venue will remain the same for State team training. Enjoy!

Congratulations to Sensei Christopher Drummond for achieving his 5th Dan today! And Sensei Alex Plummer on earning his 4th Dan as well.
Both demonstrated incredible dedication, perseverance, and outstanding technique throughout more than six hours of intense training. Their hard work and commitment truly paid off.
I’m incredibly proud to have shared the floor with both of them over the years here in QLD, and I’m honoured to share this fantastic news with our QLD team.
