Officially introducing Kelly
We are so lucky to have a the lovely Kelly with us on Wednesday evenings guiding us through some much needed restoration time.
All levels welcome 🧘
Let’s get to know Kelly 😊
Kelly’s yoga journey began in 2008, at a time when the demands of classroom teaching left her feeling stressed and anxious.
A naturopath suggested she try yoga, and what began as a simple recommendation soon became something much deeper. A practice that continues to nourish, support, and inspire her many years later.
In 2019, Kelly made the pilgrimage to Rishikesh, undertaking her first 200-hour training in Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga. Since then, she has completed over 400 additional hours of training in Advanced Sequencing, Yin Yoga, Kids Yoga, and Yoga Therapy, and most recently studied with Sri Dharma Mittra in New York City.
Her classes offer a beautiful balance of strength and softness, inviting students on a journey back home to themselves. You can expect thoughtful sequencing, moments of pranayama(breath), a touch of playfulness, some laughter along the way, and a deeply soothing savasana to close.
Kelly brings warmth and lightness to the room, creating a space where students can explore their practice without pressure or expectation. Her hope is that people leave class feeling a little brighter, a little taller, and a whole lot more relaxed.
As Kelly beautifully puts it:
“Yoga is a journey back home to yourself. Teachers are guides, but you are your greatest teacher. There’s no finish line, and it’s so much more than the poses. Have fun, laugh along the way, and keep showing up without expectation. It will continue to give back to you in ways you never imagined.”
Outside the studio, Kelly teaches art to primary school children and enjoys ocean swims, nourishing food, time in nature, travelling the world, and a good cup of tea. She also shares her passion for yoga with younger generations through her children’s yoga programs at .yoga.brisbane.
Kelly can’t wait to welcome you to class and support you in finding your own connection to this life-changing practice of yoga.
