A week on and we're still celebrating these amazing results from Ballarat at the 2026 Australian Cross Country Championships.

A huge congratulations to our national medalists - Oscar Woodhouse, who raced to silver in the U16 Men’s event, and Elly Fleming & Zali Metcalfe, who helped Gippsland Track Club claim bronze in the Open Mixed Relay.

Plenty of other strong performances across the weekend too, with Eli Spargo and Elodie Tehennepe both finishing inside the top 10 nationally. A fantastic weekend of racing and a great showing from our Wellington athletes on the national stage in difficult conditions.

Ahead of the AUSTRALIAN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS let’s have a big welcome for Eli Spargo and Elodie Tehennepe! Both will be competing in the U14 category and are coming off good form at Lakeside 10 in the 3k event, with Elodie placing 5th and Eli 3rd.
