“Our players faced some real tests against quality competition. The way they adjusted, supported one another, and stayed positive was outstanding. This trip will shape their future as athletes and teammates.” – Tyson Loetzsch, 2025 Head Coach (Mud Crabs)

Not only is it an experience our players will never forget, it's an experience that stays with our coaches and support staff too.

If you're interested in getting a taste of travel ball, positions for both staff and players are still available.

🥉 Bronze for Sunshine Coast!

A fantastic campaign comes to an end with the Sunshine Coast Little League Invitational Team finishing third after a hard-fought Finals Round Robin.

The tournament was decided by the finest of margins.

Sunshine Coast pushed eventual finalists Manly all the way, leading 2-0 entering the final inning before Manly produced a dramatic walk-off comeback to claim a 3-2 victory.

Jackson Caton was outstanding on the mound, throwing 5.1 innings with 11 strikeouts, taking a one-hitter into the sixth inning in one of the performances of the tournament.

Earlier in the day, Sunshine Coast battled the Adelaide Marlins in another tight contest. George Collins and Jackson Caton collected two hits each as Sunshine Coast fought back with three late runs.

While the results didn't fall their way in the finals, the Sunshine Coast head into their consolation game with heads held high. They pushed every team right to the last pitch, all with sportsmanship and class to be proud of.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, families and supporters on an outstanding tournament. 🧡💙⚾🥉

They go together like Batman and Robin. Buzz and Woody. Mario and Luigi.

have their own iconic duo... Tim Gorman and Robert Bartholomaeus! 👏

Through one of the wettest months of the Winterball season, Tim and Rob were the reason baseball kept being played at Rapids.

While the rain kept falling, these two kept showing up—hand raking the diamonds, spiking the infields, dragging the dirt, pumping water and doing whatever it took to get the fields game-ready.

The result? Not a single game at Rapids was washed out during May.
But their contribution didn't stop at the foul lines.

When they weren't playing, you'd often find them behind the canteen counter, making sure players, families and spectators were well fed and hydrated.

And after spending the day on the field, they were often the ones returning to help pack everything away and close the grounds for another week.

Tim and Rob are the definition of volunteers who simply get things done. They don't look for recognition—they just roll up their sleeves, help wherever they're needed and make their club a better place for everyone.

Baseball clubs are built on people like Tim and Rob, whose teamwork, reliability and commitment embody the very best of our community.

Congratulations to Pine River Rapids' dynamic duo, and thank you for everything you do for baseball in Queensland! 👏💙⚾

Locked and Loaded 💪

For Molly Paddison, wearing the green and gold isn't just about achieving a childhood dream—it's about honouring the people who helped make it possible.

Every training session, every game and every sacrifice has led to this moment as she prepares to make her debut for the Australian Emeralds at the 2026 Women's Baseball World Cup in Rockford, Illinois.

Her message to the next generation says it all:
"Don't let anyone tell you no. Go pick up that glove or a bat and show them you belong standing on that field too." 💚💛

Congratulations, Molly! Your Baseball Queensland family is incredibly proud and can't wait to see you represent Queensland and Australia on the world stage. 🇦🇺⚾

SHUT OUT AND FINALS BOUND

Just like that, have secured a podium finish.

The win came down to the wire. Everyone was on the edge of their seats.

It all started with a single and some gutsy base running from Max at the bottom of the first.

Some strong pitching from both sides made it appear as though that would be the only action the scoreboard would see in this final round matchup.

In a game where anything is possible, Sunshine Coast knew they couldn't leave anything to chance, rattling off a further five runs at the bottom of the fifth to seal their place in the finals.

Team batting to keep the lineup moving was spearheaded by Rafael to start the innings before Jackson and Christian combined to drive in the remaining runs.

Rafael M: 5 IP, 5 SO, 0 ER 👏

What does tomorrow bring?

The top three teams now play off in a second round robin with the top two teams playing off for Gold.

Wherever in Queensland you call home, tomorrow Sunshine Coast is our team. Bring your voices and back our little leaguers all the way!

And we're back!

This time thanks to Redcliffe Leagues Padres Baseball Club we have another great week of tournament baseball ahead.

Little League Invitational started strong with our very own Sunshine Coast Baseball holding out top team Manly for three innings.

The visitors broke away in the fourth to take a final 4-7 scoreline.

The team was led by Jackson Caton with 2 hits including a triple for his day out.

Today we're back for a double dose with Adelaide Marlins and Wanneroo Giants in our sights.

Around the grounds you can also catch the Little League Girls doing their thing.

Catch you soon!
