INFORMATION ABOUT FUNDING

Speech & Language Development Australia has a long standing service agreement with Queensland Department of Education through the Specialist Disability Support in Schools (SDSS) program and Non-State Special Needs Organisation Program (NSSNOP).

This funding enables our School Support Services team to support verified students from Prep to Year 12 when language is their primary difficulty accessing the curriculum. The program aims to improve educational opportunities and learning outcomes for students with disability.

We’re super proud to share our 2018 Annual Report with you. Some of our highlights from last year include:

🏫 Our School Support Services worked with 141 schools to screen 646 students and provide intervention to 97 children

👨‍🏫 More than 1000 educators, professionals, university students and families attended our workshops across Australia and internationally

💡 Our research and advocacy team collaborated on 5 research projects and led the International Developmental Language Disorder Awareness Day campaign
