The 2nd edition of the NNSWF School Futsal Championships bringing together all the schools in the region through regional qualification and giving a pathway from local through to National Championships.
Also loads of talent on show as I was scouting for players for the upcoming NNSWF FUTSAL Championship for clubs and the FA National Futsal Championships.
Coupled with Sporting Schools funding and our primary gala days, school futsal is thriving in northern NSW.
Congratulations to Eastcoast Futsal Academy for hosting another fantastic finals!

What a week in Port Macquarie attending the Northern NSW Football School Futsal Championships! Congratulations Eastcoast Futsal Academy on hosting a great 3 days.
Schools from all over the region going head to head after coming through regional qualifying rounds.
U13 boys: Bishop Druitt College
U14 boys: Mackillop College
U14 girls: Mackillop College
U15 boys: Maitland Christian College
U15 girls: Bishop Druitt College
Next week we'll go again for the under-16s and under-19s.
Winning teams go to the School National Championships in Queensland in November.

Long ass day. 6am start. Port Macquarie for the NNSWF School Futsal Championships u13s boys today.
Congratulations to Bishop Druitt College for winning for the 2nd year running with the same team (they won it as u12s last year). Nice to see 4 zones (Hunter Valley Football Assoc., Newcastle Football, NorthCoastFootball and Mid North Coast) represented in the semis.
Well done Eastcoast Futsal Academy and Mick Day on a top class event.

First of our monthly Futsal Coach Pathway sessions!
We have a cohort of 46 coaches taking part in this program to improve the level of coaching in the region and progress coaches to the AFC Level One and in turn improve the players we are working with!
First comes structure (competition, clubs, pathways) - NNSWF Futsal Championship ✅
Then coach education ✅
And the whole ecosystem grows: more clubs, more coaches, more players, more referees.

Today I'm hosting the first session in the NNSWF Futsal Coach Pathway. In case you missed it, there is still chance to join the group of coaches tasked with taking the sport forward in our region.

It's a free program, with access to monthly coaching workshops, 1 x legendary coach webinar with a coach who has won it all, coaching sessions, 1 on 1 mentoring and opportunities such as AFC Level One and FA Mitre National Futsal Championships selection.
You just have to have done the Foundation of Futsal or be enrolled on an upcoming one, be actively coaching or ready to start and commit to attending the sessions.
Tonight we'll have an intro, some updates from NNSWF and a Q&A.
