Celebrating international tap dance day 2026 with these amazing Tappers and Fred Astaire! Fred’s first screen test reportedly read “Can’t act. Slightly bald. Can dance a little”. Despite this criticism, RKO Pictures Producer David Selznick recognised his charisma “I am uncertain about the man, but I feel, in spite of his enormous ears and bad chin line, that his charm is so tremendous that it comes through even on this wretched test!” Within a short time Astaire was to become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars!

I was so lucky to see Sara Haruta perform in Beetlejuice on opening night. This show was amazing - do yourself a favour and get tickets before it’s too late! Congratulations Sarah - I am in awe of your talent and stage presence 🪲🐞🪲🐞

As a little girl, I loved my Barbie - she could be anything: a doctor, a pilot, a ballerina… why not a tap teacher too!
This one’s for the little me (and every little tap dancer out there) who imagined a world where 5 beat wings are just as magical as fairy wings.
Because the possibilities really are endless - especially in tap shoes.

Happy Tappy International Women’s Day! Celebrating the women in our lives - mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and leaders. We also recognize those facing challenges, especially the strong women in Brisbane affected by flooding. Your resilience and courage is inspiring.

We are excited to announce that we will be offering Adult Ballet and Adult Tap classes in 2025!

Adult Tap: Wednesday evenings, 5:30pm – 6:30pm

Adult Ballet: Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Looking for a fun way to stay fit, improve your posture and flexibility, and learn two beautiful art forms? Our adult ballet and tap classes are perfect for all levels, from complete beginners to those with prior dance experience. Our experienced teachers will guide you through a series of exercises to build strength, coordination, and confidence.

Not only will you enjoy the physical benefits of these styles, but you’ll also experience the stress relief and mental wellbeing that come with dancing. Plus, it’s a great way to connect with others who share a love for dance!

Adult classes will begin on Wednesday, 5th February 2025, with 9 weeks of classes for Term 1.
