🏆 A new name sits at the top of the Finn World Rankings!

For the first time in his career, Peter Peet 🇳🇱 is the Finn World No. 1, topping the latest rankings released on 6 July 2026. Peet climbs four places from March to become only the third sailor to hold the No. 1 ranking since the system was introduced four years ago.

The podium is completed by France’s Laurent Hay in second and Valerian Lebrun in third, while reigning World Champion Alessandro Marega 🇮🇹 moves to seventh.

There was plenty of movement throughout the rankings, with Martijn van Muyden 🇳🇱 making the biggest leap, climbing from 44th to 18th after victories at the Dutch Masters and the European Championship in Gdynia. Fellow Dutch sailor Bas de Waal breaks into the top five, while Otto Strandvig 🇩🇰, Akos Lukats 🇭🇺, Florian Faucheaux 🇫🇷 and Tibor Pallay 🇭🇺 all make significant gains.

Matt Howard extends lead at Vaikobi British Finn Nationals at Brixham YC

Matt Howard has extended his lead at the Vaikobi British Finn National Championship at Brixham YC.
