If you've been thinking about getting the kids outdoors, the upcoming school holidays are the perfect excuse to go fishing! With the holidays starting next week, there's never been a better time to wet a line.
Around 200,000 extra rainbow trout are being stocked into 19 Victorian waterways, giving anglers of all ages and experience levels an even better chance of catching a fish.
These advanced yearling trout are around 50g when released, meaning they're ready to catch now and will grow into real thumpers by spring!

How to catch them?
If you're heading out over the school holidays, these techniques have been producing great results:
✅ Shallow diving hardbody lures in natural trout colours.
