Victory Elite Sports Academy

Tomorrow our Under 17 Girls VESA Basketball team head to Basketball Victoria’s Elite Eight round of the Champions Cup, where they will take on some of the best school basketball teams in Victoria.

Our girls are the first VCC team to qualify for the Elite Eight after winning their way through at the qualifying Championship Cup tournament earlier this month.

🏀 SHANGHAI FUTURE STARS BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 🏀

Congratulations to Year 9 student, Blaine Anderson, who attended the Shanghai Future Stars Basketball Championship on the U18 AUS Select Team last week, and brought home a bronze medal!

Blaine and the team played alongside some of the world’s best young talent from America, Canada, China and Europe, ultimately claiming victory in a Bronze Medal match over the Canda Honey Badgers.

We are hugely proud of Blaine who at 15 years old was selected for the U18 team; an incredible opportunity that is a testament to his tireless effort behind the scenes and outstanding performance on the court.

SSV CROSS COUNTRY SILVER 🏃🏼‍♀️

Congratulations to Year 8 Strength and Conditioning student, Jenna Gaskell, on placing second in her age group at the School Sport Victoria Cross Country, bringing home SILVER!

Jenna now looks to the Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships on August 22nd having qualified for Team Victoria, and to the All School Victoria Track & Field Champs at the start of October where she will run the 2km Steeple & 3km.

We are so proud of the way Jenna represents both our College and the State of Victoria in this arena!

It may be school holidays, but a number of our students are still hard at work!

Congratulations to Kade Cochrane, Sam Davie and Benji Herdman who were among the 72 athletes that represented Vic Country at Basketball Victoria's Country Metro Challenge last week end, playing alongside and against some of the state's best young basketballers.

It is fantastic to see the hard work, commitment and dedication of our VESA athletes paying off, both in and outside of school. Well done, Kade, Sam and Benji!
