During Umpire Appreciation Round earlier this season, every Beecroft umpire was gifted a cosy new hoodie – thanks to the generosity of MCO Remedial Building.

MCO Remedial Building have been a fantastic silver sponsor of our club for 4 years, and they went above and beyond by funding these jumpers on top of their existing sponsorship. A huge congratulations to our incredible Beecroft girls who proudly represented Hills District Netball Association (HDNA) at the Junior State Titles over the past three days.

Being selected to represent your association at State Titles is an incredible achievement and reflects months of dedication, hard work and commitment. From the extra training sessions and representative commitments to constantly striving to improve, every bit of effort has led to this opportunity.

To compete against the best players from across New South Wales is something to be immensely proud of. We hope you made lifelong memories, embraced every challenge, learnt from every game and enjoyed every moment of the experience.

You have represented both HDNA and Beecroft Netball Club with pride, determination and outstanding sportsmanship. We couldn’t be prouder of the way you’ve carried yourselves on and off the court, and we know you’ve inspired many of our younger players who dream of following in your footsteps.

🏐 McGrath Player of the Week 🏐

Congratulations to Indi from NetSetGO on being named this week’s McGrath Beecroft player of the Week! 👏

Coaches Micaela and Catie selected Indi for this award due to her outstanding effort and determination throughout the entire game. After breaking her arm just before the season started, it has been a tough start to the year, with this only being her second game of the season.

Despite the setback, Indi has worked incredibly hard to learn the basics of netball and develop her ability to read the play. Her positive attitude, resilience and determination have been wonderful to watch, and she continues to give her all every time she steps onto the court.

Her hard work and commitment have made her a very deserving recipient of this week’s award.

📢 𝗔 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁

As we near the half way point of the 2026 season, I wanted to share some news with our Beecroft Netball Club community.

At the end of this season, I’ll be stepping down as President. It hasn’t been an easy decision, but I feel it’s the right time to start planning for the next chapter of leadership at our club. Until then, I’m fully committed to the role and excited to keep supporting our players, families, coaches and volunteers for the rest of the season.

When I joined this club, I didn’t know anyone - but volunteering gave me so much more than I could have expected. Friendships, connections, and opportunities I never saw coming. Netball has given me a lot over the years, and giving back through volunteering has been one of the most rewarding parts of it all. 💙

Beecroft is one of the largest clubs in HDNA, and none of that happens without our volunteers. Every coach, manager, coordinator and committee member who gives their time each week is the reason our players get to simply turn up and play the game they love.

If you’ve ever wondered what you might get out of getting more involved, the answer is: more than you’d think. Myself or anyone on the committee would love to chat about what’s involved.

Congratulations to Kara on being named our Round 6 McGrath Beecroft Player of the Week! 👏

Coach Monique selected Kara for this award because of the outstanding effort she put into her game. Her determination and hard work were evident throughout the match and were reflected in her strong defensive performance.

Despite it being a tough game for the team, Kara continued to encourage and support her teammates, showing great leadership and positivity on the court. Her attitude and commitment to her team make her a very deserving recipient of this week’s award.

Congratulations to Poornitha on being named our Round 4 McGrath Player of the Week! 👏

Poornitha has shown great resilience in her games, always working hard to actively improve by seeking feedback and taking on advice. She is constantly supporting and encouraging her teammates, while showing fantastic sportsmanship both on and off the court.

This National Volunteers Week, BNC would like to say a huge thank you to every single person who volunteers their time to our club.

Community sport simply doesn’t happen without volunteers.

From our coaches, umpires, managers and committee members, to the parents helping on the sidelines - every contribution matters.

Our club is built on people who willingly give their time, energy and support to create opportunities for others, and we are incredibly grateful for everything our volunteers do for BNC.

🏐 McGrath Player of the Week 🏐

Congratulations to Annabel Oakley from our 10s on being named this week’s McGrath Player of the Week!

The 10s had a tough game this week, with the lead constantly changing throughout the match. Bel had a fantastic game playing both GK and C, reading the play beautifully and helping to keep her opposition out while also picking up some great intercepts.

Bel certainly isn’t afraid of a contest, always running in hard to fight for loose balls and support her teammates. Her determination and effort helped the team come away with an exciting one goal win! 👏
