The Country Cricket Calendar for the 2026/27 season has officially been announced.

We’ll be travelling far and wide across our Country regions once again this season as all eight zones go head-to-head across a huge calendar of representative cricket.

We would also like to thank Tamworth Regional Council, Goulburn Mulwaree Council, Port Macquarie Hastings Council, Armidale Regional Council, Orange City Council - Wiradjuri Country, Kempsey Shire Council and Dubbo Regional Council for your continued contributions and support. Your support helps us continue to provide opportunities for players, officials and volunteers across Country NSW.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW OPEN – SELECTORS & MENS TEAM OFFICIALS

Western Cricket Zone is calling for Expressions of Interest for the following roles:

Selectors – to select our Opens Men’s team and our Colts Squad for the following season.

Matches are currently planned on the following dates during this season.
• Opens – 18 October & 25 October
• Colts – 20 December, 10 January & 7 February

Team Officials for our Open Men’s team, including:
• Head Coach
• Assistant Coach
• Team Manager

The Country Championships are being played in Central Coast and Newcastle from 12-15 November.

Whether your strengths lie in coaching, talent identification, player development, team management or mentoring young cricketers, we encourage you to apply.

Well deserved Marie

Marie Cornish OAM embodies the spirit of cricket - selfless, devoted and inspiring.

A former Australian and NSW player, and a long-time backbone of cricket in Western NSW, Marie has been a driving force behind the growth in women and girls' participation in country and regional areas.

Cricket NSW congratulates Marie on receiving the prestigious Distinguished Long Service Award at the 2026 NSW Community Sports Awards, and thanks her for over 50 years of exceptional service to the game.

Well done Kira, Marie and Russian.

Western Zone selectors have named the following 20 player squad as we start our preparations for next season's Country Colts Carnival, which we expect to be in its regular October timeslot at the start of the season. The squad will be reduced in numbers as we get closer to the carnival.
