A huge weekend of finals footy for our Roosters! ❤️🤍💙

🏆 U18 Boys Blue are GRAND FINAL BOUND after a 22–18 win over Sunbury Tigers.

💔 U18 Boys Red went down 26–22 to Werribee Bears in a gripping Golden Point finish.

❤️ U15 Boys Red also saw their season come to an end after a strong finals campaign, going down 32–10 to Sunbury Tigers. A huge effort from the boys and plenty to be proud of.

⚡ First Grade Men came away with a hard-fought 28–24 win over Northern Thunder.

💪 First Grade Women went down 28–8 to Werribee Bears, but their finals campaign continues.

Next week we’ll have 4 Roosters teams playing in Grand Finals:
U13 Boys Blue, U14 Girls Blue, U14 Boys Red and U18 Boys Blue 🏆🐓

And both of our First Grade teams head into Preliminary Finals next week, with a spot in the Grand Final on the line! 🔥

Our First Grade Women take on the Werribee Bears in their Semi Final at 4:00pm, before our First Grade Men face Northern Thunder in an Elimination Semi Final at 5:30pm.

It’s time to celebrate another fantastic season and recognise the achievements of our International players! ❤️🤍💙🐓

Our 2026 International Prizegiving will be held across Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September at Altona Sports Club.

Each day will include meals for players and officials, team presentations, and time to mingle and celebrate together afterwards.

It’s Gala Day weekend for our Juniors, with our U12 Girls kicking things off tonight at Haines Drive Reserve, before a huge Saturday of footy at Tom Roberts Parade Reserve, Point Cook! ❤️🤍💙

⚠️ Please note two updated game times for Saturday:
• 3:30pm — U11 White v Truganina U11 Green
• 4:20pm — U12 Mixed Blue v Geelong U12 Mixed

Please check the updated fixture carefully and make sure you arrive with plenty of time before your game.

For many of our Junior Roosters, this is the final game of the season — so let’s finish it off with plenty of smiles, team spirit and support from the sidelines. 🐓

Finals are here and we’ve got a huge Saturday ahead, with five Roosters teams in action and four of those games right at home at Bruce Comben Reserve. ❤️🤍💙🐓

Our U15 Boys Red head to Sunbury for their Preliminary Final, while back at Bruce Comben our U18 Boys Blue, U18 Boys Red, First Grade Women and First Grade Men all take the field.

A few reminders for everyone attending:
🔴 Please follow the directions of Ground Managers and club officials
🔵 Only players, team officials and authorised personnel are permitted inside fenced or roped-off playing areas
⚪ Please respect our neighbours and park responsibly
🔴 Smoking and va**ng is prohibited within 10 metres of the fields, playground and clubhouse
🔵 Our canteen will be open throughout the day, with coffee and sweets also available
⚪ Please use your allocated change room and leave shared spaces clean and tidy

It’s time for our youngest Roosters to wrap up their season with Junior Gala Day! ❤️🤍💙🐓

The action kicks off Friday night with our U12 Girls at Haines Drive Reserve, before a huge Saturday of footy at Tom Roberts Parade Reserve in Point Cook.

For all of our Junior teams, this will be their final game of the 2026 season, so let’s get behind them and help finish the year on a high! 🙌

On behalf of the Altona Roosters Rugby League Club we send our deepest condolences to the Ngalu Kanongataa family .

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the sudden passing of a much-loved parent within our rugby league club, and a well-respected man within the community.

Ngalu was a devoted father who supported all of his children in their sporting commitments, no matter their chosen sport. We hold fond memories of Ngalu cheering from the sidelines from the early days at Altona Roosters Rugby League Club, then on to Sunshine Cowboys, and now finishing off here with us at Sunbury United Tigers.

He will be deeply missed by players, parents, and committee members alike.

The club extends its deepest condolences to Ngalu's family. We are standing with you during this tough time.
