When I’m not running pickleball sessions, coaching, organising comps and yelling “GET TO THE KITCHEN!” at people… I’m working on our farm.

Today’s co-worker on my other job: an approx 1.5m brown snake clearly didn’t get the memo about workplace health & safety. 😳🐍

Suddenly chasing pickleballs seems like the safer career choice.

…and learnt the lesson to maybe wear long pants instead of short shorts is a good idea. 😂

Tonight we mixed things up and tried rally scoring for the first time — and while a few players found it a little cognitively challenging 😂🤯, the overall feedback was really positive!

We absolutely love hearing from players visiting from other regions — especially when they notice the culture and community we’ve worked so hard to build.

Great pickleball is important, but for us it has always been about more than that. It’s about welcoming people in, having a laugh, making new friends and creating a place where everyone genuinely enjoys being.

Hope all our pickleball dads in our community had a fantastic Father’s Day yesterday! 💙

Joe out on court playing alongside his 10-year-old stepson Jarvis — different generations, sharing the same court, having a hit, having a laugh and making memories together. 🏓❤️

It’s not always about winning, ratings or how good you are. It’s about connection, community and being able to play together — no matter your age.

And that’s exactly why we love Legends & Lightning. ⚡️
