Congratulations to Atunaisa Ratu, the talented Yulara XV First Five-Eighth, on being recognised as the Top Points Scorer of the Desert Shield Invitational Series! 🎯🔥

Atunaisa is a quality player and a very good kicker, playing an important role for Yulara XV throughout the series.

We are proud to announce that his trophy has now been presented to him here in Lautoka, Fiji 🇫🇯.

A special effort by the Central Barbarians management to make sure the trophy travelled all the way to Fiji and reached its rightful recipient. 🏆❤️

This is what rugby is all about — respect, friendship, brotherhood and recognising the players who give their best on the field.

🏅 Medal Presentation – Yuendumu 🏅

A huge congratulations to our Central Barbarians players from Yuendumu. It was a privilege for our management team to make the 3-hour journey to personally present the boys with their 2026 Desert Shield medals and give them the opportunity to hold the Desert Shield Trophy.

Our five Yuendumu players showed incredible dedication throughout the Test Series. Week after week, they travelled hours to Alice Springs for matches and training, and also made the demanding 8-hour journey to Yulara to proudly represent the Central Barbarians.

Their commitment, sacrifice, and passion for the jersey have not gone unnoticed. As a club, we value and appreciate every kilometre travelled and every effort made to be part of this team. Your dedication is a true example of what it means to wear the Barbarians jersey.

A special congratulations to Jeffery Vaisima on being crowned the 2026 Desert Shield Series Top Try Scorer. A fantastic achievement and well deserved after an outstanding series. 👏🏉

🏉 CENTRAL BARBARIANS RUGBY – TRAINING UPDATE 🏉

A chilled and slow & steady start to training tonight as the squad gets back into the rhythm. Every session is another step towards our next challenge.

Our focus now shifts to preparing for our upcoming Interstate Rugby 7s Tournament. The hard work begins here, and the boys are ready to put in the effort as we build speed, fitness, combinations, and discipline.

This is only the beginning. Together we’ll keep improving, keep learning, and keep representing Alice Springs with pride.
